She's enjoyed quite a boon in terms of sales to products like her perfumes and such because there's been a grassroots movement in opposition to the initial protest against all her products. The word you are looking for is ethics. The Trump family has none, Donald Trump says clearly and publicly he is not bound by ethics and his behavior shows it.

The irony is, the left never used this nepotism argument regarding Jeb when the primaries were going on. As you can see, Trump triggers them to the max. Ivanka is actually quite left leaning too, yet the left attacks her. Her surname just invokes a reaction in the left just like this..

Actually you were unartfully dodging the question of the Trump family engaging in unethical behavior with the ever popular Hillary Clinton go to move. Are you comfortable with the Trump family shamelessly using the Whitehouse for personal profit? It's not a Left or Right question.

I can't believe I'm arguing/supporting Jeb Bush here but.... he actually started in smaller political positions in Florida and then advanced beyond that. Did it help that his father at the time was Vice President? I'm sure it did, but his father didn't make him "Special Advisor" and have him work in the White House. That would have been crazy! *nudge nudge, wink wink*

 

Ivanka has essentially done nothing except benefit off her father's businesses, and some light modeling. She then becomes "Assistant to the President", and her husband "Senior Advisor" (Also having done nothing prior to this election).

 

You had a slightly better argument with JFK and his brother. Bobby wasn't a very popular pick at the time, and people argued exactly this point. People thought he wasn't prepared.

There's a reason I didn't vote for the guy. And while you guys are rabid on petty stuff like your one-sided nepotism fix, Russia conspiracies, and entranced with the personalities, I care more about how he implements policies. While I was quite happy with his first month or two, the last month has been awful and a massive reversal from major issues such as NATO and Syria, as well as his switch regarding Yellen, and I will keep mentioning his entire Presidency, until it's done, if it ever is, the DACA repeal, which he can do with a simple swipe of the ol' EO pen. I really don't like that he's not working with Putin on fighting terrorism -- Russia would be far better as an ally than an enemy. So if the election were held 3 months into his Presidency I'd likely not vote for him once again. We'll see how the other 42 months of his term goes until election time.

I deliberately left out Prescott Bush (US Senate), and George P. Bush (climbing the politics ladder), so that includes HW Bush (1) and W (2), along with Jeb (3), P Bush (4) and Prescott (5), along at least 4 generations. I am likewise not a fan of nepotism, so the left and I would have something to agree on if they were at least consistent with this belief, especially when it came to the Kennedys, Udalls, Pelosis (and other names), Cuomos, Chafees and Tafts, Byrds, Rockefellers, etc. But because Ivanka comes into the picture and has some ambiguous role in the WH, suddenly "nepotism". Dat selective outrage.
