Hi,

Not for myself and a bit far from where I am... Anyone can recommend a photographer who is aware of the Canadian passport picture requirements - somewhere around Tuscaloosa/Birmingham... If no one knows, I will contact the consulate in Atlanta on Monday.

Thank you!

The majority of passport pictures can be done at a cvs or walgreens.

Canadian pictures have special requirements (and Passport Canada is super strict - bad pictures is the #1 reason they reject the applications) - most of those places put the clerk of the day to handle the machine - no good :(

Thank you for the suggestion - which is good for most countries pictures!

I would just call the consulate on Monday.  My photos ended up being 3x what they are in Canada due to the sizing.  But I went to a place where they guarantee them.  However I'm not sure that store is in Alabama.  I bet any specialty photography store would do them though. I'm surprised the friend is trying to do something on Easter Sunday in the south.  lol

I guess it is one of her rare days off lol

I've seen good Canadian pictures taken by clerks in "regular" stores, but the clerk has to be a bit knowledgeable.  There is an awesome photographer in Boston who does not charge an arm and a leg (and makes people look very good!), but it is a bit far for my friend... Nothing urgent.

I have gone to CVS and had the pictures taken, but asked them not to cut them.  I cut the pictures myself using a metric ruler and a sharp exacto knife and the guide on the passport Canada site. Just make sure your lines are straight and no ink lines on the picture.

Good luck!

AAA is where a few have gone. Sears if they still have a photo studio was able. Sadly I think most are gone now.

Don't forget the stamp, signature and date of the place that took the picture.

I used Walgreens and had no issues.
