is the father a USC? then no if he qualifies to give the child his citizenship, you would apply for CRBA

yes, but the person asking this is not the original poster, there are 2 people here asking questions, if you want to split the topic you can, the second person's husband is a USC as she replied, so the child will derive citizenship because the father is a USC, if he qualifies to do so

 

and as I told her, her case is different from the OP, since the father's child was a LPR when the child was born and will become a USC

You need to apply for CRBA and you can apply for the US passport at the same time after birth. Not sure where you're applying but I attached the requirements list from US Emassy Manila.
