I posted this in the May filers thread already, but I went for an Infopass yesterday to find out how my case was progressing. We didn't apply for EAD or AP when we sent in AOS, so I am trying to decide if I should apply before the fees go up.

Anyway, the IO was great- very friendly and gave us as much info as he could: I'm stuck in background checks, otherwise I would have been approved by now.

Just thought I'd let you guys know that sometimes it's beneficial to go talk to someone!

I'm all ready for my interview tomorrow...will review paperwork tonight and make sure husband remembers our marriage and wedding dates . He got them mixed up last week, but I think he's ok now. He does know where we honeymooned... and since my birthday is coming up I've been talking about our plans, so he's got that one down...check.

Really getting on my nerves now not hearing anything and not even getting a touch on either AOS or EAD since beginning of may!

Called USCIS and they basically told me it could be anytime for my EAD or even a month after 90 days judging by the process dates online, although I don't think the lady knew what she was talking about.

Hey guys...I have been reading, not posting because nothing was happening!! But then yesterday I got the email that the card production was ordered for Efrain's EAD! We have our interview tomorrow, so who knows, but it was just good to know that they didn't forget about us...

If he gets stuck with FBI Namecheck...maybe he will be able to work with the EAD before the green card arrives? Wishful thinking? It's not even the money....he is just bored!

Anyway, i know there are 2 that have interviews today...so good luck...

Absolutely. That's what an EAD card is for... to work while waiting for approval. He can work as soon as he gets either...

Yeah, most of my friends that applied for AOS with EAD said that they wasted their money because they got the greencard before the EAD card

That's why I applied for EAD first (don't have the that time )
