New Update:

Got another RFE 2 this week. Will they hold up moving forward with my AP and EAD? This is getting out of hand..I am past 120 days and no response/nothing. I made an INFOpass appt next week.

20 Apr 2017    Mailed I-485/I-131/I-765 packet

24 Apr 2017    I-485/I-131/I-765 packet delivered

28 Apr 2017    NOA1 letter received
13 May 2017    Biometrics letter received

13 May 2017    First RFE letter received
30 May 2017    Biometrics appointment

09 June 2017   RFE evidence received

21 Aug 2017    Submitted Service Request for EAD

23 Aug 2017    Notified online that they have mailed another RFE  2

31 Aug 2017    Made InfoPass Appt    - will go on Aug 31

STILL NO UPDATE ABOUT EAD OR AP!!

This is brutal. Do you have any idea why second RFE so late? Did you have a lawyer file your paperwork? If yourself, do you think you missed a form? Also was your case "under review" when you got a recent second RFE

Im so sorry! I wish this to no one. Had one Rfe myself and was destroyed emotionally by the wait. I pray to not receive another one. I was confident, prepared and filed myself but after RFE idk if may be hiring a lawyer is a guarantee that the process is smoother.

I wish you all the best! Hopefully this RFE won't restart everything but just put a pause on the process.

NO IDEA why the RFE is so late. I've called so many times to put in a service request and they don't do so. They said everything is within processing times. And no, didn't use a lawyer. My sister and family went through this process years back and it didn't take them this long so I just assumed since I am a Canadian citizen, got married and changed status, it wouldn't be this brutal.

I'm very sorry. If it is RF Initial Evidence then the process starts from zero once they get the response. If it is RF Additional Evidence then it will only get paused. I am hoping you don't struggle Financial and in either case can still wait a little longer without hardships. But if you do consider getting a lawyers advice. It's also a good idea to make a lawyer go through all the paperwork that was filed and your responses to rfes to ensure you won't get a third one.

it says  request for initial evidence for your Form I-485, so let's see what happens! i just want to get my EAD and AP as soon as possible. OR at least get a status update. they have only posted on the website that "my case was received Apr 28, 2017..."

it looks like its for AOS. but i dont get why i'm not getting an update on my EAD/AP. does the entire case get put on hold because of AOS

No. AOS is different from EAD and AP.

AOS and AP's processing time depends on the workload of the office handling your case. On the other hand, EAD should get an update by the 90th day. At least that's what the rep told me.

Even if you get an RFE on AOS, that does not affect the EAD/AP processing time as they are not the same application.

If only the process had a significant bearing on the country you're from. I suppose some aspects (shared language/culture) make it easier but in the end, USCIS treats us the same.

Finally received my EAD today! After 123 days...

I wasn't expecting it because i called for a tracking number and was told my status update was wrong and that they hadn't mailed my card yet, so I was to disregard any status update I received... my husband walks in in a few hours later with a priority mail envelope and to my surprise it was my card.

Some of those officers are really confused!

Anyhoo the wait still continues but glory be to God this makes it a little easier...

Goodluck to you All!

You're very welcome :) !!!!

ahaha, yeah right, it's really fast lol - it took me a week !!!

They will most likely mail your card on Wednesday. After you receive the notification "Card was mailed to me", you can call USCIS to get the tracking number (a tier2 officer will be able to give it to you). I'm glad I tracked it as I was able to find out that the mailman was not able to deliver the card since I was not at home. So I soon as I got the notification, I went to my post office to pick it up.

I think we've all learned the lesson : it's important to be very cautious with the information provided by the representatives on the phone :D !

That's great! Maybe I should do an infopass too and hope to have an officer with a nice officer who is willing to tell me useful info. :D I have been trying since last week but there's no slot available. Can I do a walk-in perhaps? I saw a line at the SF office for walk-ins; I'm not sure if it were only for biomterics only.
