Hey guys,

I have a question. I have my biometrics appointment on 5/24, and we were thinking of going on a trip within the US the next day for 8 or 9 days. The only thing is, I'm worried just in case I get an RFE. I'm not expecting to, but you never know! I was wondering if anybody knows how long they give you to respond if you do get one? My mother-in-law can check the mail for me while we are away too. What do you think?

They give you 87 days from the date it was sent. Assuming that it takes a week to arrive at your address, and a week to be received by them once you have sent the evidence back, this leaves you approximately 73 days to actually respond. This is plenty of time, but just keep in mind that it may take time to gather the required evidence.

Yes, you should be receiving it anytime now, it seems like they mailed it on May 16 by the stamp on the envelope.

Online status did not change, by what I have read, it seems like it only changes when there is an RFE, Cards are being produced or interviews are scheduled.
