Hello everybody,i was denied my k1 visa on February 2017.The co. thought my fiance n I are already married. In our WhatsApp chat my fiance was referring to me as his lovely wife in one of the conversations and my parents as his parents in laws.since we intended marrying in the future I was OK when he refers to me as such.After the interview,we had our civil wedding on march 7th 2017 in Ghana. He is in the u.s air force and he has a pending deployment in July 2017.he has already sent our i 130 to USCIS and requested for expedite.he collected a letter from his commander stating his upcoming deployment.my question is, can we use the 3months to finish the whole process and see my husband before he goes for deployment?I really do miss him:(   Thank you

Probably not gonna happen. While it could get through the US side within those 3 months, it still has embassy level and interview to get through, that is a different expedite request needed if I understand the process.

 

Also, is that the only reason for the original denial of the K-1? That simply could be what they said the reason was. I would re-evaluate that process and reason for denial again just to make sure you know. Just getting married does not instantly mean you would get an approval for a CR-1. If there was any other issue involved it could come back up and cause a denial again.

02/03/2017 - Married 

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview
