Hi guys I make inquire to us embassy about my case I was stuck in administrative processing for 5 months and I make inquire about my case to know how much that will take to finish the process  I am so disappointed right now this is the email that they send it to me your help will be appreciated thanks

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our records indicate that the visa application for this immigrant visa case is still pending under administrative processing.  Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict how long this processing may take.  The wait could possibly be quite lengthy.  However, please rest assured that as soon as this processing is finished, we will contact the applicant using the contact information he/she has provided on his/her application.  Thank you for your kind understanding

What you got is the standard response

There is no way to predict how long your AP will last, it could be one more week or years

I know of people who have been in AP through ISB for years (like 5 years)

There is no way to speed AP up

For your sanity, go ahead and contact the embassy once every 90 days, they will let you know if/when they need anything

I can only say, nothing can be said on what the hell they do. But yeah its true if its getting updated again and again or status changed to Ready means they are about to close your AP with a visa. However, its first time i have seen any such stuff happening like you described.

I think comming week will give you a good news.

People aren't necessarily scaring you, they're being upfront. VJers tend to offer facts without sugarcoating them. Once approved for a visa, AP could last days, months, or years for background checks and vetting.
