Hello everyone

I created this thread for everyone who filed AOS from k1 visa and is or was stuck at "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" status.

I sent my AOS package at the end of August 2016, biometrics done in September 2016. My case status is " Fingerprint Fee Was Received" since August.

It's already almost 7 months and case is still at National Benefit Center.
I did Infopass appointment around 3 months ago and was told that background check was completed, so it looks like the case should been sent to local office.

Please share any experience

I was in the same boat my entire AOS journey. I filed april 2016 and it remained there at fingerprint fee received until after my interview in December 2016. It changed from "fingerprint fee received" to approved 4 days after my interview took place. it never even updated when my interview got scheduled. Some cases just don't update yes I know it can be stressful having no updates trust me I know but it makes even more exciting when you get the interview date/approval letter in the mail unexpectedly

Well, hopefully the mail system works then or you're kinda screwed. You might miss out on both RFE and interview letters that way.

That is also why I would call every month and ask for an update from a tier 2 to avoid anything like happening... even tho USCIS case status webaite should update for everyone but unfortunately it doesnt and is very glitchy... of yiu are 1 of the unfortunotly cases that dont update and is still stuck on fingerprint fee recieved then you still need keep chasing your case up atleast every few weeks to ensure you haven't missed any major updates as the above poster said like an RFE or something that could be seen as abandonment if it isn't responded to with the given timeframe

Okay, now I'm nervous that I might've missed an important interview letter in the mail. I like @Moslund's suggestion of calling monthly to see if an interview has been scheduled but I really hate the idea of calling USCIS. Does it make sense that submitting an e-request/SR monthly would have the same effect? FYI, our case was received on April 13 of this year and we're still at the "fingerprint" stage although we expect to receive my wife's EAD/AP combo card as soon as this Saturday.

Hey!!! I got an email alert to figured I'd update my post. My status stayed at 'fingerprint fee recieved" the entire time... i got a letter in the mail in november of 2016 to say my interview had beem scheduled for decemeber 1st 2016. My status still said "fingerpeint fee recieved" even on the day of my imterview it still said that. At the end of my interview she said she would recommend me for approval and yet again my status still said fingeeprint fee recieved. It wasnt until 2days later my status went from fingerprint fee recieved to green card was mailed. Just cauae yiur case status doesnt uodate on the website it doesnt mean yiir case isnt movng but sure as hell plays with yiur nerves tho lol
