After several emails one time even email 12 time in less than two hours changing the subject line, even calling and being able to speak to the operator that reached out to the supervisor for me.  I have finally gone from AP to Issued.  Waiting should not be an option after a certain time frame.  medical was sent over on 3 Jan. on 23 Jan they tried to tell me they were waiting for it.  I told them no after checking with the hospital again it is there I know it is.  They actually checked and received an email 10 minutes later stating medical was there sending up for review.  Then a couple of days later sent 12 emails in less than two hours and my husband in jamaica actually got a phone call from the Embassy.  He was told that the visa should have been issued long time ago.  They are getting a little sloppy.  Emails are not being answered in the expected 5 days.  I am still getting back emails on my jobs computer showing emails expired after not being read after more than 14 business days.  I did let the embassy know this upon calling.  They lady I spoke to was awsome and very friendly.  When you call just be very respectful no matter what. At times she will listen and try to assist.

I'd say that's borderline harassment

That's what I was thinking! No surprise they are a bit busy if that's how people do it! ... I mean damn what happened to a bit of patience and it's not ALL about one person.

It's not surprising that you did not get timely responses to 12 emails.  I know Kingston isn't really in a rush to complete things.  I think it goes with the island vibe lol.

I got responses to my emails.  I waited for their response.  Some came quicker than others.   Glad you got resolve!  Congratulations!

borderline harassment.  This is my life. my file was misplaced for 3 weeks.  Had I not called how much longer would it have been sitting in a pile somewhere.  Just imaging how many other people this has been done to.  You got to be joking.  Either way it got a response and a positive response and my husband was told that the visa should have been issued long ago and could not understand why so much time had passed.  With all the money I have paid and for our file to be misplaced call it what you want but I will now have my husband home

A bit of patience for a record that has been lost for three weeks.  I bet if it was a paycheck you would not have patience!  People were sending emails after me and email was responded to in days.  my email I am getting returned still after more than three weeks unread.  My job email keeps specific track of emails sent out.  So you tell me unread emails what result do you get.  There are people stuck in AP with no explanation after the time frame indicated.  What are they supposed to do just sit around and wait?  Another person they tried to say the medical was not there and she knew it was. She had them look for it and low and behold that was mysteriously found as well. No its not all about one person, its about the process in which they are handling peoples records and paperwork.  I went to the interview with my husband was interviewed by the IO and guess what. he never put into the system that I was there. Because of his negligence I have to go back for an interview, yet they are still issuing visa.  Now at this point I will not have patience.  They are having me make another unplanned trip at my expense because of their negligence.  No I will no longer be patient, cuz now you are messing with my finances and time off from my job and arrangements for a sitter.

Ok so here it goes so I'm glad I nagged. Boy let me tell u. So I made arrangements to come down for a petitioner interview. In the mean time the case status went from AP to issued. So I call back to Embassy and ask do I still need to come in and was told yes. So I fly in Thursday morning at 4am missing the snow storm customer flights were cancelled like crazy. Went straight to the embassy for a 7 am appt. So name was not on list. Was told to sit while they check. By 7:30 the lady come back and tell me there was no need for me to be there cuz visa was already issued!!!!! #######!!!!! So after that she tell us to go over to DHL to ask for the visa. We did and got it. Ya see glad I nagged them don't regret it after what I've gone through. For those that live in either a further country and ticket expensive let me know you thoughts. Would you be happy about spending money that u did not have, taking time off from work that u did not have so not getting paid for time missed and paid for a sitter when it all did not need to be Done! All I can now say is thank God it's now over. Loosing records and miscommunication is not good

Hello and thanks.  I am living proof that they messed up and had to be accountable for their mistakes.  After finding the physical which they said was never there for 3 weeks, it went to review again.  At this point my husband was called and told by a gentleman my case should have been approved long time and could not understand what was going on.  He then called my husband and asked was I at the interview which I was, but there seems to be no record. This I am trying to figure out.  I then get an email a day or two later stating they want me to come in for a petitioner interview.  I called rather then send an email cuz as we know they do not respond to emails.  Got through and made an appointment for the following week.  Two days before I was to leave the status went from AP to Visa issued!  So I called and asked if I need to still do the interview and the lady said yes.  So I arrive in the country at 4am Thursday just to go straight to the interview at 7am.  Got there name was not even on the list so had to sit outside and wait!!!!  After 30 minutes we were told there was not need for me to be there because the visa was issued and already sent over to DHL the day before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The nice lady told us to go over to DHL and see if they were willing to look for the visa because he was leaving with me soon.  Well he got through there and without a tracking number.  Email was sent after visa picked up with tracking number.  Do you realize that while we were at the airport it was then I received a response from an email I sent on January 31 that visa was issued.  We were already in the states.  Yes they can hold records however long they want, but they were not holding.  Record was misplaced, as they have done others.  They had no knowledge of the medical record being in the office, when it was there for approx 3 weeks.  Had me come in for an interview, when it was not needed.  They have to account for the mistakes and carelessness.  Others that were in the same situation I encouraged to call and send emails and next thing you know visa issued!  Hold a record, but do it for a valid reason.  Bless
