I have news I want to share with you guys first. Today I went to my mail box about five minutes ago and there was an approval letter dated 20 Feb from the Vermont center/centre.

Renewed my driver's license (PA) this morning with my NOA1. Very straightforward. My new license is valid for 1 year from my green card expiration, so I'm going to end up with the quite the collection of PA licenses (think I already have four).

That's awesome! My husband received the letter from PennDot stating his DL expiration date is expiring soon. Stated he needs to take NoA letter to renew, but that it may take up to 3 weeks, since they verify the info with USCIS. With that said, sis you fo to renew it well in advances? Did you receive the new DL same day?

In any case, my SIL was kind enough to drive me out to the center today and I walked out with my new license about 30 minutes later. Perfect! I am glad it worked out smoothly for you! We will plan to go about a month in advance just in case. I have learned that dealing with the DMV is just unpredictable and sadly, sometimes if the staff is in a bad mood that day, they aren't very helpful. Again, thanks for the insight!

@rohanrob No! Today is your submital date. The NOA (Notice of Action; form I-797C) is the letter you will receive in a few days indicating that they received your I751 and that your GC has a 1 year extension while the I751 is being processed. This NoA will also  indicate that you will receive another communication soon, informing you of the date and time of your appointment.

Hi everyone,

 

We are getting closer and closer to filing so this is exciting.

 

Sorry to keep bothering with stupid questions but when I looked up the green card application materials from back in the day, it always states as place of the marriage just the COUNTY. When filling out the form for ROC, should I also fill the same in, or name the actual city ? 

By submitting a copy of our marriage certificate the city becomes clear of course but even there, our suburb is not separately mentioned. 

 

What to do ? :-(

 

Also, is it safe to assume that I need to submit the 680$ for both fees as one (!) check only ?
