Mine was short and to the point. Date, where, why you were there, why he was there.....

I met Jomo at such and such a place in June of year while I was on vacation and he was a bartender there. We became friends and I went back to see him date(s). After that, we began a LDR which included hours of phone calls and monthly trips. On date, he asked me to marry him. Thus, the reson for this process.

I think mine was just a few short paragraphs.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Mine was just a sentence each, starting with the first time we got to know of each other's existence (online in my case), then when I travelled to Manila and we started calling each other, the first day we met, the first date, what date she became my girlfriend, what date I proposed, and in between these dates, just stating we saw each other a lot or we travelled to so and so place. Each sentence started with the date - the place - and an explanation. Pretty simple. Almost like what is shown in my signature below but a bit more dates and events.

Mine was short and to the point , no more than a mere paragraph, giving just the facts.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I don't think is like a college essay where you have to have meet a word count. Sum up the nature of your relationship and how you met giving precise details (how exactly did you meet? Online chatroom? While on vacation? Through friends? etc.) with exact dates and locations and where/when/how you proposed and what your intentions are.

It probably won't be more than a paragraph.

I received an RFE asking to explain further (though my original explanation was extremely straight-forward and gave plenty of detail). It's best to put "see attached sheet" in that box and give a very detailed description rather than hold up the process with an RFE you could have avoided.

wow..RFE...that sucks..cuz alots of people told me that i dont relly need that paper...did u tryed to write in all that box or u said just few words?

I explained the situation well and gave precise dates for meetings, etc. but they felt it wasn't enough. Obviously this is your decision and if you'd like to go by what other people say, just write it in the box. However, if I had known there was a chance the process would be delayed because they want more information than you can fit in that tiny box, I would have taken the extra 2 minutes to type it out on its own sheet. Giving them more information and being proactive can save you some time and effort in the end.

It's really up to you.

There is no requirement that it fill a page. Most people will include some information in the question 18 box on the form, or, simply state "see attached" and write on a separate paper (that is CLEARLY LABELED as being I-129F Question 18 Supplement, and SIGNED AND DATED by the US Citizen, who is filling out the I-129F) a brief paragraph about how you met (and/or including information about the last time you were together IN PERSON in the last 2 years - which is what they care about).

So you can say, I met X at this club/restaurant on this date. Or, we met online on this day and talked and talked and then he flew here/she flew there on X date. We've visited this long.

Ideally - whatever you right will match up with other primary evidence. You say you flew to x country to hang out - and look, there's a stamp from x country in you passport.

Don't over think the process. Write a paragraph that is complete and to the point and be done with it. You know what to write - you met him in the last 2 years, right? It isn't a test.

Good luck!

I wrote SEE ATTACHED SHEET on my I-129F form and included about a page explaining how/when/where we met, that we lived together in Brazil - including all dates. I then explained the next 2 times we met (in Brazil) and gave those dates as well.

The last paragraph just said we decided not to continue with a LDR, but rather for him to move to the U.S. and get married :) (the best part).

We had no RFEs and were approved in 72 days at CSC.

Give facts and dates - leave out the lovey dovey stuff :).
