oh no. seems like my card was lost in mail somehere.

uscis status shows card to be mailed on May 4, 2017.

Tracking shows it has been delivered on May 9th. However, till today we never received anything.

its pretty much lost, most likely usps mail man made mistake in delivery.

what do i do next? i-90? have to pay again? and wait 10 months?

this is devastating..

Just guessing...your online status probably look like this:

On May 4, 2017, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number EAC..., to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by June 4, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Put in an e-request. Not a bad idea to check with the Post Office.

Good Luck

The best thing to do at this point would be putting in the e-request. If the lost card happen to show up, cancel the request.

Go to your local post office and ask them to trace it.  Don't just rely on the online status.  They should be able to show you the whole tracking info, and will probably pull your delivery person in to talk about it.  Take a copy of the online status page with the tracking number.

It looks as if you are in New York City.  I fear that cards can get stolen there.  If you are in an apartment building, post a note on the mailboxes asking if it was misdelivered to another apartment.

Thank you so much for your input.

I live few blocks away from the post office. So i was there twice today. They are insisting the package has been delivered.

The supervisor was not in today...so i have to go back tomorrow to speak with supervisor.

But what can they do at this point. Package was deliverd on the 9th...its the 26th already.

does the time to receive the actual GC  vary for joint I751 and waiver ?

Received approval notice today. It was dated May 30 2017.

So, NOA of April 12 2016, Approval May 30 2017.

Currently waiting for card.

Other information:

My wife went a few weeks ago to get a stamp in her passport. She received a one year without question.

We only submitted two joint bank account statements, not a whole history, and only a copy of our joint credit cards without a series of statements. I would say our package was pretty light, though we added a lot of photos of us together over the years. After seeing some of the huge packages people sent I had been expecting an RFE and was pleased it was an approval, but perhaps the joint tax statements, and Japan being a low-risk country helped.

We received my husband's permanent residency card (GC) for 10 years in April 2017. Do we have to update his status with Social security? If so, how do we do that?

Thank you in advance.

no you don't have to update this on SS.

The only time you would have anything to do with SS is if you're first ever card said eligible for work with EAD only, in which case you might want to update your card to have that statement removed, but even that isn't an absolute necessary i don't think.

So for your case there is nothing that needs to be done as far as SS updates.

Hi everybody,

We are April 16, 2016 filers, and we just received a RFE today! One year and 2 months after, this is absolutely fantastic...

Our baby is due in 4 weeks, we don't really know what to do. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi there!

Help us out a little here.  What was the wording on your RFE?  If you tell us, then we might be able to give you really pointed suggestions of what to send back to them!

I can imagine that you are really bummed out about now...

Hey!

Yeah it's a real bummer, we were not expecting that kind of answer so late in the process..

Here's their answer:

"Your supporting evidence does not sufficiently establish that you and your spouse entered the marriage in good faith and continue to share a life together until your legal separation.

You submitted the following:

  • joint partial bank statement covering only one month of your marriage with no daily activity;
  • joint partial 2015 Federal tax return with no evidence of being submitted to the IRS;
  • joint insurance;
  • photo copied photograph;

(...)"

So I think our main problem is that we did not covered the entire 3 years of marriage. We thought the most recent would, by themselves means that we're still married and living together! This is so intrusive!

I also have to say that we moved during the process and I changed my address with the USCIS, maybe it triggered a red flag for them... But at least now I can add the deed to the file I guess.

We're gonna prepare a package with bank statements, taxes, bills for the past 3 years, affidavits from family/friends, photos (originals?), ultrasound pictures (breaking my heart to send an original)...

Is there anything else we can do? I just can't deal with them anymore, this is so exhausting...

Thanks for any advice, and reading through my rant...

JM
