  Hello everyone, we are in the process of preparing the AOS Package. want to make sure if we are not missing anything and everything is in order.

  1.           Fee Check 1,225 $ (1,140 + 85)

  2.   .       cover page "immediate relative (spouse) family based adjustment of status application".

  3.   .       Form G-1145 (E-notification).

  4.   .       Form I-845.

  5.   .       Copy Passport + Copy of Visa + Entry stamp.

  6.   .       Copy of NOA2 (I-797).

  7.   .       I-94.

  8.   .       Birth Certificate + Translation.

  9.   .       Certified copy of Marriage.

  10. 10.   Form G-325A.

  11. 11.   2 Passport Photo.

  12. 12.   Copy of DS-3025 + Vaccination supplement.

  13. 13.   Form I-864 (Affiditive of support).

  14.          Employee letter.

  15.          Pay stub 6 months.

  16.          3 year tax transcripts.
  17.   .       3 year W2.

     

     

  18.        Form I-765 (EAD).

  19.          I-94.

  20.   .       Copy Passport + Copy of Visa.

Just want to confirm few things:

* Do i need certified copies of marriage certificate for EAD and AP, or just one copy for I-485?

* is the certified copy has to be requested from the city clerk ? short form or long form ?( we got a marriage certificate already on our marriage day ... seem photocopy of it is not sufficient).

Another question please ... for the I-131 AP form Part 3. where it ask fr departure date and length of trip. can i leave it blank since no exact date for travel is known so far.

You only need a copy of the marriage certificate (photocopy should be fine but they can ask for certified copies in some cases) for the i-485. I sent a photocopy with each application just in case as I have changed my last name and I've seen people get their biometrics letters in their maiden names and had to get it corrected, so I decided to do the little extra in case it might help for them to see that I've actually changed my name. Even if it doesn't help any it was only two extra papers anyway.

 

 

We don't have a long or short version here so I don't know anout that one. Send long one to be on the safe side? The more info the better?

 

You don't have to put an intended date on the i-131, leave it blank if you want. I put a random date on mine.

You might want to send as part of the backup for the I-864 a copy of the birth certificate/passport to prove U.S. Citizen status. The instructions say you don't have to if it's already been submitted with a prior application, but I've seen a good number of RFEs for that one as well. Better to be safe than sorry ;)

Primary petitioner/sponsors are getting RFEs for proof of citizenship for the I-864? Not seen this before. Know of any links to the RFE posts?
