Yup, I bet our cases are in a stack being worked on by the same caseworker. Do you think that many touches in a row may mean a forthcoming approval or an RFE?

I was also thinking that these cases are being worked on by the same caseworker. I do believe that having these many touches mean that the approval is coming soon.

I hope you are right! How long after approval do we expect to wait until the visa is issued? Approximately?

I think that this is different on every case. It depends on how fast NVC receives the approved petition, how fast the consulate receives the petition and how fast they schedule the interview. Generally I believe it takes about two months after the approval of I129F for the visa to be issued. But I have seen people who have to wait 3-4 months after approval and I have also seen people who receive visa within less than two months after approval. So it depends on each case and the country.

TWO months?!! MORE??!! I know people have been waiting for much longer than that, but when I asked at the consulate how long the I-129 usually takes, they said that it is generally under 3 months! And I thought that meant together with the visa issuance.

We were so NOT prepared to wait this long!!

AnnaF - hw did you manage to get an expedite request? My wife is separated from me and our baby while the visa process goes on, my Dad is very active politically and we couldn't get any of our congressmen to do anything but lie to us! (they ALL had completely different excuses about exactly they couldn't help me, and all had different stories on what they could do) And that is with some direct personal connections, too. :(

My 129f NOA1 was March 1st ... I'm still waiting to hear back after a couple touches last week. I told my wife that I thought we'd get an acceptance this week, but I doubt that now. *SIGH*

Your absence runs through me like a needle

Everything I do
