i got my case transfer to NVC   anyone know what that means ...i filed in Jan 20 2017....

If you filed for naturalization, then it could be the step the case takes before being sent to the field office for a combo ROC/USC interview?

Signature coming soon...

Got 10 years GC now .. LOL

Now trying to file N400

My lawyer just told me that  the only Doc we need to submit with the application is the copy of my new GC

and the all other documents are submitted at the interview?..

Please anyone has done it that way too?

When we appliead for N400 the instructions page said that there are a set of documents that we have to upload since we did it online. I would ask you to look at the instructions before you aplly and not just depend on your lawyer.

My wife and I sent her ROC application in at the very end of 2016; receipt letter on Jan 3 2017, followed by biometrics on Jan 31 2017. Then a lot of nothing. Transferred  to TSC in March 2018, more nothing, an RFE in May 2018, more nothing until September when we got an interview letter. Interview on Oct 24 2018, at which time the IO asked almost no questions (more confirmation of what was already in the file) and said things would go forward. We got the email later that day saying my wife's GC was being produced. Clearly we're not finished just yet, but still, 22 months from application to approval.

The combo Interview is not recommended  at this crazy immigration sagga time ..

Says who? I feel this is a common theme as those who are only waiting on N400 are worried about more applications. Its clearly states on the USCIS website you  are legally allowed to apply for the N400 while awaiting ROC. I'm submitting my N400 this weekend to start the all rolling and people can continue to tell stories without any proof.

Well, I'm about a week shy of the two year mark.  Haven't heard a whisper from USCIS for eight months (when they transferred my case yet again). I have TWO I-551 stamps in my Canadian passport, with time and room for a third (would not surprise me at all at this point). You should see the looks I get crossing back into the US from Canada. They ask ME what is taking so long. I just shake my head right along with them.  I really thought I would be done with this "thing" by now. Maybe 2019? Who knows...

ROC

01/18/2017   Sent in I-751

01/26/2017   Check cashed

01/28/2017   Received NOA dated 01/20/2017

02/16/2017   Biometrics done

10/24/2017   Traveled to Minneapolis for I551 stamp

02/26/2018     Case received by Field Office - S. Paul

05/012018     Case transferred to another USCIS office for processing

N-400

02/02/2018    Filed N-400 online

02/05/2018    NOA online - NOA letter 02/09/2018

02/21/2018     Biometrics walk-in

I already crossed 2 years mark. Case inquiries does not help either. Not sure if we can file a mandamus if it takes forever.

Same here, I’m January 2017 filer , I didn’t file  for citizenship. Two months ago I made inquiry why my case takes so long processing time. They  mailed me a letter, telling that witching 60 days they will make a decision  of my case. But I did not get anything from them, my petition is still pending, nothing was changed on my  case status on USCIS site. Tired to be in a limbo.
