CENOMAR at the interview in the embassy?

What's the reason she got a 221g? If you don't mind me asking? I'm just worried that if we don't bring cemar we will get denied. But it seems like it easy to get.. and it is required to bring in the embassy right?

??? 221g was for NOT having the CENOMAR/CEMAR for the interview, and requesting it be provided.

It can delay the process of the visa but it doesn't mean that you will get denied because you did not provide one? Sorry I asknow to much I guess I am over thinking and worried at the same time.. thank you for your information

All is true.

You won't get denied visa because you did not provide a CEMAR at the interview. Maybe for other reasons (doubtful) but not for that.

My wife was CR1 applicant also. I did not interpret the embassy letter as requiring a new CEMAR since we had already provided USCIS/NVC a CENOMAR. Our mistake, which generated the 221g and additional ~2 week wait. No big deal in the overall journey.

If you have time, get the CEMAR showing current marriage status and you'll be OK.

You must follow the embassy instructions letter for what is required - without regard to what you gave NVC earlier. I posted the immigrant visa letter earlier.

Out of curiosity do embassy contact the nso to verify/request documents?

Can embassy request/verify birth certificate, marriage certificate cemar/cenomar directly to the NSO?

Not unless they look suspicious which they (USEM) will issue you a 221g and it is your responsibility to clear up any issues and/or get a new document from which the agency that you are requesting from will send the required new documents directly to USEM. Once the documents arrive your case will be reopened and adjudicated and a decision rendered based on all documents and information contained in your application.

Don't entertain doing anything "stupid" because if it is discovered you will be denied a visa!

If the embassy finds issue with your PSA (was NSO) documents - clarity/hard to read or other issues they will issue YOU a 221g to get new documents from PSA. PSA would then deliver them directly to USEM

I found very few forums that are focused on the Philippines for the U.S. visa process, few forums I found were very lacking in good advice.

VJ was serious lacking for years until a few decided to stay around to help... these old timers leave and VJ would be just one more forum that is lacking.

Hank_ has been around for many years, you can PM him and he will respond but doesn't show up on the forum as of late
