Ear plugs dampens about 15% of the loudness. The music can still hurt my ears. What is the difference between knowing when a music can hurt your ears, and music that cannot hurt your ears? I don't think many people here understand what it is when their ears are hurting. It's not funny. There's an organ inside the ear that gets distorted, and may become permanently damage that can cause you to loose balance. Some people were born with stronger tolerance within the inner ear than others. You know, if I had a gun, these people would get hurt. Serves them right for hurting me, doesn't it?

If they are inflicting pain on me, shouldn't I also have a right to inflict pain on them? No. But, if they think that I'm doing it so that I can have peace, they're wrong.

It is my belief that you are so mentally healthy that neurotic busy bodies might think you're weird.

Violence won't change anything. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I have tried ear plugs and I don't think they work . . . because the vibrations from the music go much deeper than the ear plugs can protect. I think it vibrates up thru the sinus cavities . . . particularly when I have infections due to allergies.

I had ear infections when I was growing up and they (i.e. medical ppl) punctured my ear drums to relieve the pressure (I think they put tubes in the ears these days). I can remember screaming over this and one time I remember blood flowing from my ear!! I think this is why my ears hurt so much from really loud music . . . . NOT BECAUSE I AM TOO OLD!!! Sheeeesshhh, we all have different tolerances. Believe it or not, NOISE is a major stressor in our lives . . . so if you are feeling stressed out, it helps to have a quieter environment . . . without lots of vibrating noise around . . .I can feel it all over my body and not just my ears. When you are at a concert and there is a point where all you hear is static . . . you know it is time to limit your concert going too!!

I hate car alarm activators that are plugged into the horns one the cars!! When I am walking by someone's car and they turn it on at the moment I am walking by . . . and they are always far away by that time . . . well, it makes me want to go slap them!! It startles me for one thing (very bad for the heart you know) . . . and it is not good for your ears!!

OK, back to work!!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

I hate it when car alarms go off for no reason at all for a long periods of time till they reset them selves or whenever the owners of the noisy alarms finally wakes up and comes out to turn it off lol.

We have those BOOMCARS driving around here too and it's really bad when you're stopped next to them at a red light. We used to live in an apartment complex and some of our neighbors there could get very loud with their music. We found some peace from that when we moved to our house a few years back. But now, we have to deal with those loud Harley'sthat go up and down our street. I normally don't mind the healthy sounding roar of a motorcycle, after all my husband has a big Honda (CBX) but I often wish those Harley owners realize that a little muffler goes a long way.

I remember as a kid everyone thought having a loud car stereo was "COOL!" and it's no different today. They know next to nothing about sound quality, just volume.

You would be better off contacting your city council and attempting to get an anti-noise ordinance passed, or just call the police if there is already one on the books.

I have a loud car stereo... what can I say, I like my music loud sometimes. And it has to be loud to hear it at WOT or when I have the top off. However, I installed vibration dampening material so the entire car doesn't vibrate when the bass is strong. After all I don't want the vette to be as lame as a ricer. When some noisy retard pulls up next to me at a stop light, I just crank my own stereo and rev the engine to about 5000 rpm and annoy the hell out of them. :innocent:

As for motorcycles I think those loud mufflers may be all that keeps them from getting clobbered more often by car drivers that aren't paying attention. So I forgive the motorcycle riders.

I would rather hear a Harley than a crotchrocket.
