Hello Guys, i'm a permanent resident and my wife is US Citizen, i'd like to sponsor my parents to come over here for visiting us and I've noticed alot of changes recently that now you can apply online so, i will have to do everything for my parents. Can someone tell me please what kind of documents would my parents need from me and my wife to avoid any delays in this process?

I would greatly appreciate and wait for your responses.

Thank you

Visitors apply on their own merits.

There is nothing required from you.

You can, by all means, assist your parents in filing their application if they lack the English or computer skills to do it themselves. But there is no documentation that you can provide.

They (your parents) will have to prove to the satisfaction of the US consular official at the interviewing US embassy/consulate, that they have significant ties to Pakistan such that they would return to Pakistan after their US visit is completed. Such ties could include, property, house ownership, current stable employment, etc. Each visitor visa applicant is presumed to have immigration intent, and must prove that they are not trying to immigrate to the US. A letter from a doctor, any documents from you, or any other invitation-type letter would likely have no positive effect on the visitor visa approval.

Good luck.

You don't do anything. You can guide them through it but they have to apply on your own.

Thank you Pitaya, one of my friend's mother was asked few questions and she got approved. Counselor didn't ask for any documents from her. I can send them my Green Card copy and an invitation letter. My parents won't know the process nor they know how to apply online so, i will have to do this myself for them. Thank you for your answer and i appreciate it.

Have a great weekend.

Thank you

This will not help. This in fact, may have the opposite effect. They need to show strong ties to home, not to you. By all means you can remotely do the paperwork on their behalf, but that is all.

Pitaya as given you the correct information.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Someone else's mother\father\brother\sister\cousin\friend has no bearing on your parent's visitor visa chances. Basically, they apply (you may fill out their ds160 online), they pay the fees, they go for fingerprints, and they are interviewed.

Documents are not required and 99% of the time docs are not asked for. And, there is no sponsorship for a US visitor visa.
