Hey, MissCurious, of course it is ok. We met through dating site and stated so in the petition. We got RFE where they asked us to submit "a copy of signed written consent form that the International Marriage Broker obtained from the beneficiary, authorizing the disclosure of her personal contact information".

We replied with a letter where we stated that the dating site that we met on isn't considered an IMB according to the definition given in IMBRA (we found a template of the letter here, on VJ). We printed out the Terms of Service from the site, highlighted the parts where it's specifically said that it is not an IMB, and submitted it along with the letter.

Yeah, there is always something, but don't drive yourself crazy. If it happens that you get an RFE, you will simply provide what they ask for, the instructions are very clear.

Good luck to you!

Thank you for the response. :) I will take note of what you did in case we receive an RFE... we also met online. Thanks for sharing the info :)

Were 14 approvals from the 500 I ran tonight for the October 31 fillers.

I was one of them!!! Hope others here were in that group as well and that all the rest of you get approvals soon. Looks like they are at least moving some petitions after the shutdown.

Hey guys,

I just realized a mistake I made while filling out the I129F, Date of birth entered for me (beneficiary) is incorrect. It is a mistake I made.

My DOB is 06/04/1986 instead I entered 04/06/1986. (mm/dd/yy)

My application is at USCIS and am wondering what are my options.

Please help!!!!

My fiance did the same. It's no big deal. You can either send the revised form to them now (along with a letter explaining the issue with your case info, and sign it), or just have the beneficiary fix it at the interview and re-sign it. It's a common mistake.

Hey Geowrian mate,

If I understand you correctly, I just need to send the revised I129 F along with the letter explaining the error.

Do we both have to sign it or just my fiance in the United States.

Does the petitioner also go for an interview? Is it after the NOA2?

I am just a little worried and confused.

Thanks for all your help mate.

Thanks for all your help mate.

Let me clarify something - as the beneficiary, you didn't submit an I-129F. The petitioner did. The only documents you would have submitted were an affidavit of intent to marry and a G-325A with your biographical information. I'm assuming the G-325A is where you provided the wrong DOB, right? If so, then you should be able to just have the petitioner re-send only that form. Remember to sign it and such again.

The petitioner is never required at the interview. However, depending on the embassy, they may or may not permit the petitioner being there for the interview. The interview is a little while after the NOA2. Basically, it goes to USCIS for NOA1 and NOA2. Then off to NVC. Then to the consulate. You (the beneficiary) will need to submit a DS-160 and then schedule your interview. You also need to gather your documents for the interview, do your medicals, etc. Details will be in a packet you get after NVC processing.

Good luck!

***Today's comprehensive update***

Scan ran: 10:30 PM EST

Scan finished: 11:50 PM EST

Records: 4997 (Testing reduced my totals pre-ban to under 5k)

NOTE: The list of K1s I used was reduced to only the first 5k records. That's where the IP ban hit, and building out my process to handle the handful of apps after that wasn't worth the  effort. :)

Cases updated today: 68

Approved: 57

RFEs: 7

Other: 4

Data: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1B_oR3Imoi-V1V2LTVYeGI1ZUU

Edit: Keep in mind I'm only counting WACs from WAC1790048000 onward. Records untouched prior to this are not included.

This is great!  Heartening to see that the numbers of cases handled in the past couple of weeks are increasing daily.  This makes me feel more hopeful.  Last night I dreamed that my NOA2 wasn't even through in time for my wedding (let alone the visa!).  These figures are such a relief! T'hats about 108 cases handled in two days (instead of taking a whole week or more).  Thank you again for putting the time in.  This is making a big difference to lots of stressed people!

Hi guys,

me and my fiancé our case was received the 3rd of November, we got our NOC1 on the 7ths, till now we didn't get any notification regarding our case , and I checked the visa status site and it just says case received, we are starting to get worried, since some of the cases that were on the same date got approved already, and we heard some news about change in the immigration laws that might affect us and our case.

Any suggestions and ideas regarding the date that we might get the second NOC or any recent changes in laws that's affecting the visa processing times ?

Thanks,

Hi Mnaeimfahmi,

Our case was also received on the 11/3. I have actually been tracking the 11/3 case received dates myself. Out of 177 "Case Was Received" status as of January 23rd, 21 got approved yesterday 01/24. If this trend continues, we would be looking at around 9 working days until they look at all 177 cases.

Let's look at the glass half full here. Yesterday I saw the most cases approved compared to any other day in the past month and a half. And that makes me excited! As for immigration laws, I'd like to think that it also needs to go to process and will not happen overnight. I hope that none of the K1 filers get affected by it. Let's all hope for the best! Good luck to you and your fiancé.
