Custody of minor children from Kenya

I am a US citizen I am divorced from my spouse in Kenya and she is remaining there. My two children are coming to the US with her blessing and full permission. As their Father what type of documentation do I need to obtain from their Mother that will satisfy immigration? They will be citizens when they come due to their ages.

Our divorce documents did not specify custody as that is not done in Kenya as it is spelled out clearly in US divorces. Will an affidavit work? What wording should it include?

I am traveling to Kenya soon to pick them up. Your help is appreciated.

A letter from her, notarised, stating that she is ok with you taking the kids to the USA and having full physical custody should be enough. Make sure it has her contact details in case the CO has any questions.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

They will be citizens when they come due to their ages.

How will they enter the US? Simply because they are underage does not mean they will automatically be able to enter the US legally.

It's amazing how many questions can be resolved with a 2 minute Google search...
