Hello,

I am preparing my document for filling my K-1 Application for my fiancee in the Philippines. Looking at the directions for filling out the G-325A, It requires the same document plus a passport photo from each of us. Being so far away, how is she to sign the actual document?I know a photocopy would be easy, but is not allowed. What do I do, Thanks!

Yea - I messed up on that one too...

You only have two options (Well two of the most logical options)

  1. Fill out the form for her - save as PDF. Email it to her. She prints it and signs it and FEDEX or mails it back to you.
  2. Make a trip out there and have her sign it.

I did number 2 because I needed to get more pics of her and pics of all of us (her family) + engagement ring / proposal photos.

It worked out ok for me in that respect.

Oh - and make sure you have her signed letter of intent and everything else or this process will drive you nuts.

This is a common question.

My partner simply signed all his documents needed for the original I-129F submition, scanned, and emailed them to me.

We had NOA2 is 48 days without any issues.

All USC signatures were "wet" signatures though.

It is completely up to you and the advice here. If it makes you feel more comfortable definately send her the documents, have her print and sign them, then fedex them back to you.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

Interesting, so the g325a, the passport, and the intent to marry just photocopied and emailed? That was what I thought of doing in the very beginning

The only thing you need from your fiance/e right now is the Intent to Marry and the G-325a (including pp photo). You can have them take a pp photo and print it on photo paper.

Easy peasy!
