na02 received shows expiry date

Hi have received na02 and shows an expiry date of within 4 months of the letter. Does that mean to the point of the interview or sending the packet 3? Or to what point are they referring to with the expiry date? Thanks

The NOA2 expires if you do not interview before then. However, if it is due to the consulate having too many interviews scheduled, than usually the consulate will extend the NOA2.

The expiry means that the petition was approved and is valid for you to apply for the visa until the expiry date. Everything needs to be completed, including interview, within this time frame of around 4 months.

My interview ended up being a week or so after the expiry date due to having to wait for further information from my doctor to provide the panel physician after the medical examination and there wasn't a problem with this at the London consulate but I don't know how lenient some other embassies are...might be worth checking with them direct.

Many embassies automatically extend the NOA2 by up to 1 year, for 4 months at a time. But if you need more time than what the NOA2 says I'd suggest you calling your embassy and ask if they extend it automatically (they probably do, but it's always good to ask). They usually require you to bring a new letter of intent from the USC if you have your interview after the first expiration date.
