Like most AP appliers don't see their status change on case checker. Got my EAD/AP Combo card but no online update on the AP.

Online thing is completely busted ! I received 4 text messages, and an e-mail... I485 finally changed to "Card was mailed to me" total of 11 days after i actually already received it. To be fair tho , it does state that is was mailed on Oct. 2.

So not all hope is lost haha, my 485 still says interview scheduled to this day. And I received my i130 letter on the 5th and it only changed on the 17th.

just received an USPS notification with a picture of a letter from the Selective Services and it says my registration acknowledgment card is enclosed. Does anybody know what the hell that is?

That means if we go to war, you will be selected to join the army.

Yes. Every male immigrant that moves to the US will be signed up for selective drafts.

No, your I-485 does not have to be approved for that.

DHS already has your information and plays it along to Selective Services.

hey guys, has anyone been asked for an original birth certificate at the interview for a beneficiary? we can't find it, we had it but not anymore (we submitted one with the translation originally). Thank you!

That's one of the most common things the Immigration Officer wants to see at the interview. I was asked for it as well despite that I had already sent in a certified copy, I always keep several certified copies (they count as "originals"), no reason not to. If you lose one you still have more left.

 

You NEVER send originals or certified copies with the package (that goes for all documents and proof of bonafide relationship etc). EVER. Unless you have several certified copies and can spare one. You always save the originals and/or certified copies for the interview.

45 days since interview and nothing on i485 yet.  I 131 status online only got updated to approved 15 days after I received approval letter. This is frustrating.

I had a delay of the interview update on the website for 7 days
