It's different for every field office. Mine was in Memphis, my letter was dated 6/6, interview was 7/7 and oath is 8/11. I also traveled outside the US for 10 days between interview and oath. I hope it works out for youbut re-scheduling isn't a huge issue if necessary. Good luck!

Congrats!  You ought to get your letter before you go if they sent it on the 4th. On the whole, looking at the chart, it seems to be a month between the two. Ballpark number :)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hi,

I just wanted to let you guys know that I had my citizenship interview today at Federal Plaza in New York City. The whole interview took maybe 10 minutes in total. I was asked 6 questions, all of which I answered correctly(how many amendments there are to the constitution, what's the highest court in the US, who's the vice president, who was sold and brought to America as slaves, why did the colonists fight the British). The reading and writing portions were easy as well. I was asked for the most recent joint bank statements and 2016 tax return. Afterwards, the officer who interviewed me said I would get an oath ceremony notice in the mail. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting :)

One day, when everyone is done, the thread will likely be locked. After that, there's always pm's :)  I'll hang around, I've been on pretty much daily for 9 years. Sometimes people have questions I can answer, and I like to help out where I can.

You've only got a couple of days to go! Take notes, and let us know how it goes :)

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
