Hello,

Long time reader...first time poster! I am on my 2nd Fiancee Visa attempt. My Fiancee is from Cambodia, and we attempted the Fiancee Visa process two years ago. I dd not go to the interview, which I know regret, and she was denied! Got a hold of another lawyer and we are finally at the point of going through with the Fiancee interview again. I have visited five times...September 2013, August 2014, January 2015, September 2016, and last visit was in August 2016. I have a mountain of evidence of my five trips to Cambodia...have engagement photos, receipts, letter from me and mother, ect.....now there are a few receipts here and there I did not include with the evidence...but over all...it is a very strong case (I believe). I also have used Viber almost exclusively....do not like Skype...and have found taking screen shots when we are talking to each other dumb.. I prefer to see her in person...maybe it is my old fashioned upbringing. I do have a few email sessions we shared, but not much...I did not submit to emails to USCIS..should I bring to the interview?

The petition was submitted to USCIS in January 2016, and was approved August 24, 2016 shortly before I left for my last trip...was gone for two weeks...even visited Thailand on this trip. Finally got scheduled for the interview upon my return... our attorney informed me to bring all of the evidence with me after January until now to show a pattern of an "ongoing relationship"...upon printing out my viber records (300+ pgs) I realized that viber must have had a glitch occur...the logs only go back till April 30, 2016. How much communication history do I really need to bring to me to our K1 - Fiancee Visa Interview in Phnom Pehn? Thanks for your help.....

Regards,

Khmer2736.

Just curious, was the reason she was denied the last time for lack of evidence of an ongoing relationship?

Does it matter how the evidence is presented...the PowerPoint evidence of the trips is being put in a binder by the UPS store...keep me advised if this is acceptable? Of course..I am also taking my original receipts, plane tickets, ect. Taking all five trips...just making sure I have everything they might need.

Copy pages of your passports with visa stamps entry and exit each visits, Trip to Thailand entry and exit stamps with your fiance(Both of your passports showing entry exit same date and time), Pictures together in Thailand and other places etc. Tax transcript is perfect. They won't pay much attention to any of your chat logs but keep as much as possible anyway. Actual visits are most important and you have 5 visits so far. Did you get engaged on your first visit? If you did that could be the denial for K-1. It is very common there. Of course you must attend the interview as well for the best chance. Attorney is useless and unnecessary for interview purpose because they cannot or not allowed to do anything but you already wasted some money there. You have the best possible evidence...5 visits. You should pass. Don't hold back anything. Bring everything possible to interview. When is your interview? If you can contact your senators as well before interview and they can inquire US Embassy on your behalf before interview. Not that they can order US embassy to issue visa but since you were denied once, I strongly recommend.

Now all these recommendations I am giving you...I am not just making those up or reading from peoples timelines or stories. They are from my personal experiences. I am a veteran of same ordeal like you at this embassy. My story kind of similar to you except 2nd time around I did not do K-1. I did CR-1 2nd time and threw everything humanly possible at it. I came out successful after almost 4 years of hard fought battle. If you keep at it, you will be successful. If I am forgetting something or if you need help, you can ask me. It's been a while and I might not remember everything but I can surely remember if you have any question.

Take everything you got even though they look like book. But they hardly ever look at those communications chat logs. If you have some pictures or screen shot with you and your family like pictures those they might look at. Your actual 5 visits proof will be the most helpful.

Try to take them as small binders or books. They will collect all those before actual interview. You can take as much as you want as long as you can carry with you. I have seen actual interviews on 4 different occasions. Witnessed many interviews myself
