Do u think it's okey to proceed in my interview even my birth has not yet corrected ? I already followed my passport but you think this won't cause my denial that my birth and passport is not identical what can I do?? Or an NBI of both names are fine?

I planned to correct my birth right after the interview

Yes. And I suggest you follow Greenbaum's suggestion - DON'T bring it up, if the CO asks during the interview be honest, other wise say nothing.

Other names is for when you used something else other than your given name. For instance, your first name is Kathleen but you used Katy by you and others. Then you would answer "Katy" for other names used.

You're over thinking the process.

OP is having a name issue because of what her BC shows (and she used daily) and what is shown on her passport (different from BC). I had suggested to follow the passport name as listed, and do an AKA for other names used.

I partially agree but in this case she is asking about the DS-160 not the NBI where she would use all her AKA's.

Yes exactly having those names on NBI as AKA's is done I have it, but in ds160 I don't know if what to do . Should I put my other name in " other names used"? Or not ? What do u think guys ?

No need. As it's an error not a typical everyday name that you use. Leave it blank. DS-160 is more for background questions and not for the repair of names. Use your correct name and IF ASKED then explain the situation based on the questions that the CO will ask.

To be honest I really don't know now what is the right name that I should consider as the right one and the error one. Hehe

I mean in my birth with my middle initials that should not be there ( it's not corrected yet so technically it's it's my name)

Or the passport which I don't have my initial which is corrected by dfa. I don't know anymore what is the error here that u refered of guys. Right now I'm using my name with my middle initial since its in my documents it's my daily use name. You said that ds160 is for background check and should be put there the name that I daily use and the name that I daily used is threat name with middle initial which should not be there , but it's STILL there since its not being corrected yet.

So should I not put any other names on my ds160 on " other names used"?

Sorry if I'm kinda annoying and asking a lot of questions guys forgive me :(

But I'm just so worried and don't know what to do

I'm just wondering how come DFA changed your name for the passport? Isn't that the job of the LCR and NSO?

Yeah it's sucks, but they said its standard that when a person don't have a fathers name in his/her birthcerticate (illegitimate) they should not bear any middle names .

Your facing the possibility of explaining either naming configuration. It's either middle initial or full name. You have to choose one and move on and deal with whatever comes up. If it were me I'd use first name, middle name and last name and be done with because that is what is expected. You should have already begun the process to get your BC changed

Yes I know. Still on page 37 of the DS-160 it does ask about other names used. AKA may have been a wrong term but for her situation use her name as shown in the passport and on page 37 list other name used.

Just relax. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy as we second guess everything trying not to make an error. Funny thing is when you go before the CO and your papers are in order, your only their for at best 5 minutes. In and Out. So quick.
