You are right. We hope this nightmare will end soon.

Casablanca has a lot of AP cases, which is why they keep putting new cases under AP, it is mainly due to visa numbers shortage. Let's not forget DV and Family based immigration, add to them NIV cases. It's a mess. They have priority to some categories which gets issued first, then remaining visa numbers are distributed based on AP priorities. Visa quota will come out in October, most AP people in this forum are waiting for October, you will notice lot of date changes on CEAS.

Some friends of mine and I in another thread are almost 6-7 months under AP (K, CR, F2A), we have noticed some updates on CEAS this first week of September before Eid Adha.

My personal advice from experience to anybody under AP, don't waste time on emails, calls and even senator, it does not work at all. Just wait, keep your self busy and keep watching CEAS daily.

Also, it's not impossible that this many people could be needing extra security checks.

I saw an idea stated somewhere that there's a new CO that is having to have their cases submitted for higher review/approval at Casablanca. This is not implausible, but is highly unlikely as the reason why so many K-1s were put in AP so far this month...and I don't think the same "new" CO would have just happened to end up with all of the VJ K-1s this month. The black female CO is still there and hasn't transferred/been replaced...yet.

Also doesn't explain the fact that there were a few approved K-1's with no AP on September 2nd.

On the same boat like you brother. That's what the lawyer said.

(Not a brother, here...)

A lawyer said they're subject to visa number availability? If so, that lawyer doesn't deserve to get paid for that statement, as it's completely false and he'd know that if he'd done his research like he's supposed to.

I will make sure to let him know that.

Make sure to ask him to show you the State Department publication or source where he found that info...(because it doesn't exist).

Our file was "touched" today with no change in the status, still under AP

Hopping for some kind of action before the end of this week

The website shows "Administrative Processing".

They "touched" our file today again. I hope this "touching" will result in something good
