Hi all,

I have been following this post but couldn't drop any note as I had nothing to report. Here's my timeline:

NOA1: Sept 15 2016

Biometrics: Oct 19 2016

NOA2: Sept 15 2017

Card Production email: Sept 29 2017

I'm a VSC divorce waiver filer and approved without interview.

I wish everyone still waiting congratulations in advance.

@Blably Congrats! This is great news. Can you tell us, on the bottom of your approval letter was it the signature of the local service center director?

I apologize for the multiple posts. I was refreshing the page and it didn't show it as posted. I guess VJ had a glitch and posted each time with several minutes delay after I tried to post. Moderator - feel free to delete duplicate posts. Thanks!

That's okay.

Honestly, I can't fully remember whose signature it was and I'm far away from home. However, I can say for a fact, the letter came from VSC. Cos the sender's address showed VSC. Once I get home, I'll double check.

One thing I did also why waiting (because I was losing patience thinking I may need an interview so I wanted to do it and get it over with) was calling Tier 2. I called every Friday to check my status. Fortunately, one of the reps took my info and requested to find out what the delay was all about. I got a letter stating that a decision would be made in 60 days. I called back again 2 Fridays ago and the lady said I should be patient that nothing has moved on my case. I was surprised to see an approval letter the following Monday.

I wanted to share, there's an app called USCIS Case Status. This app sends you notifications on "similar" cases when they get approved. In other words, without doing anything after you have set it up, you'll receive notifications on I-751 approved today and you can see what service center they were at, on what date I-751 was filed and nationality of a filer. Basically, it's the information received in real-time mode. For example, today CSC approved few I-751 from 07/08/2017. Also VSC received RFE for 4 cases filed on 07/05/2016. So we know where they stand at.

Which App exactly is it? I have two (on iPad), but neither one offers that information. All you can do is track 500 case statuses starting from a specific one.

Would you please be so kind to post a link or, if against rules, perhaps a screen shot on the app store so that I can get it?

Thanks in advance!

F-1 Visa: Academic years 2007/2010.

K-1 Visa: I-129F sent Aug 2013; Approved Jan 2014.

Green Card: AOS sent Feb 2014; Approved Jan 2015.

Removal of Conditions: I-751 sent Nov 2016; Approved Apr 2018.

US Citizenship: Application sent Nov 2017; Fingerprints Nov 2017; Civics/English exam March 2018; Oath May 2018.

Can some one let me know how do I get to an agent when I dial the USCIS helpline?

I dial 1 for English, 2 for checking the case status and 1 for entering the case number. After the automated message, there is no option for an agent. Even if i select 2 in the 3rd step, which is used in case we lost our status number...there is a generic message to call back between 8 am and 6 pm. I called at 8:30 am but still not able to get through.

I am a VSC filer in living in NJ.  I mailed from from from NYC on Sep 19 2016. NOA 1 receipt on Sep 23, 2016, Bio Date: Oct 24, 2016.

This wait is extremely frustrating. I just hope there is no RFE after waiting more than a year.

VSC processing time shows Aug 15, 2016. They are now going through Aug & Sep files. You will get a response within a month.

Yes, you can extend your driver's license. It depends on a state whether you get extension thru the expiration date on your I-551 stamp in the passport, which you will get at Infopass, or for longer period.

Thank you for the info.  They stamped for one more year but took my GC but that's totally normal.  If i had not joined here, i would panic like oh oh they took it, what now? but i am here and i thank every one of you for all info and good to see CSC peeps starting to get approved

Hey everyone

So I went today to get the stamp for my wife. I didn’t realize the one year extension is from the expiration date on the green card. I thought it was from the date on the letter which was September 16th.  So the officer didn’t give us the stamp since technically my wife’s green card is still valid until December 11th. He told me to come back when its closer to expiration and if the new green card hasn’t arrived by then. My question is how close to expiration do you have to be to get the stamp? My wife is planning to travel in mid November which her green card with letter would still be valid but she is coming back in February and at that point the green card & extension letter would not be valid.

Thanks for the help

She can go 30 days prior to the extended expiration date of that green card. Shouldn’t be a problem getting the stamp by then.

Hey Guys just wanted to share a quick update. So I finally received my GC today exactly 3 weeks after I was approved. So glad the wait is over, now the N-400 countdown begins till 2019. I'll be going to the DMV first thing tomorrow morning to get rid of my driver's license with this "Temp Immgr status" boldly labeled on it. Like it's literally the highlight of my whole excitement about getting this card... Good luck to everyone and I'm pretty sure more good news will be rolling in pretty soon for all. Cheers

Hello, everyone,

Apparently, I got the biggest shock of my life today after talking with very kind USCIS officer. Previously I mentioned that my I-751 was approved on September 22, 2017. However, I did not get any approval notice or green card till date even though the online status said it was mailed to me. So I decided to call USCIS today to get the tracking number for GC. My call was transferred from L1 to L2 officer as they have more information on their system. Officer asked for the receipt number so I gave him the one that I had from biometric letter through which we can track status because the other one is untraceable on case status website. Behold as the officer told me that my name is not matching with the receipt number and I am like it is impossible:shocked: . Since there was a mismatch with the application, he asked me few more questions along with A number to verify my identity and then he put me on a brief hold to find out what is going on. After waiting for 1-2 mins, he got back to me and said I had the wrong receipt number to begin with. He told me that last three digits were switched, e.g 358 vs 538. I was tracking with 358 while the actual one was 538. So in reality my application is still pending at CSC. I really did not know what to say further so thanked him for his time and hung up.

So close, so far:crying:

If anyone can please mark my application as pending on the list? Thanks!

Hi dudeinTriBeCa,

Could you please tell if your GC envelope had the "Return Service Requested" stamp on it? I heard that only NOAs and other letter-type correspondence from USCIS has that stamp (i.e. will not be forwarded by USPS in the case of change of address), but envelopes with actual cards like GC or EAD come without such a stamp and can be forwarded by USPS. Wonder if it's true.

Thanks!
