I-751 September 2016 Filers

Did you guys see that new update from as of 06/30/17? For one month CSC has moved just for 5 days, from 06/15/16 to 06/20/16. It's just F ridiculous. My hopes on getting adjudicated this year are dead now. We are all aware of them being slow but this becomes just disgusting. Nothing changes. I first thought, ok, maybe it's just temporary slow-down and it will become faster but now you can say it's a steady trend. You even can forecast the month of September filers approvals. The speed of processing is 5 days per month. It means if you filed on 09/18/16, they have to process 90 days which will take 90/5=18 months. Really? Will we get our cards in February of 2019?

July filers list on visajourney for CSC is so long it's almost 80 people...... why's that?

Compare it to other months list of CSC.

Were there huge number of folks who filed in July?  in July some thing happened and might have led to flooding of petitions.

I think you meant June filers but let me try to explain. There are about 15000 I-751 filers per month, probably 9000 of that are CSC filers. These numbers don't change much from month to month or year to year. I wish there were much more than 80 postings each month but 40-50 seems typical. Note; first, not everyone knows VJ, then there are people who know VJ but prefer to be lurkers, then there are active participants. Long delays definitely motivate people joining VJ later on, looks like they had 40 entries in April, then close to 60 entries by the end of May, since CSC has not progressed much, 20 more people showed up with frustration and anger. Totally understandable.

I love your optimism sir!!  I had a bit of that, about 6 months ago! Aha.

I'm a mid June filer and I'm still waiting.  Hey ho.  Good luck to you!

CSC is on a whole different planet, let alone a different level - We shall see how it unfolds.  I remember when VSC was the bad boy, going slow, lagging way behind CSC.  Maybe they moved staff from one to the other, and the balance tilted dramatically the other way. Who knows how they run these places.

I hope they get a sudden surge and start clearing their backlog soon! Good luck!

HAHAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious :D:D:D:D:D I love how you framed it "Who knows how they run these places" It's so good!! hahahaha :D:D:D

Guys, on a different tangent, game of thrones episode 4 WAS PRETTY DAMN EPIC I have to say!!!! Anyone following the show??! =)

My fav character is Tyrion

I was considering it too. But I am VSC filer and I hope to get my GC in the next 2-3 months. So in order to not delay anything further or mess with an already messed up process, I'm holding off until I get the 10 yr GC.

I'm too VSC filer. My NOA for I-751 was September 22, 2016. I'm not sure if go ahead applying for N-400 would mess up things. From what I've read so far I only hear good experiences. But let's see what others think :)

This is my opinion only.

I feel that I would wait for 751 approval before filing N400.

The reasons

- Basically by doing that you are unnecessarily turning the your 751 application to Interview also (it it is not approved when you go for interview)

- If they combine 751 and 400 interview then there may be big/long interview (as they need to look more closely to both the application)

- If we you are not in rush then I don't make 2 things combine and make things complex.

- If you wait for 751 approval then N400 interview may be small and less complex

Perhaps you you might want to include your filing date, Notice of Action date and biometrics date.

There is a database/list of that info for Sep 2016 filers. It helps us keep track of approvals and how long that's taking, etc...

Check my timeline for K-1 visa & AOS details

I am planning on taking a cruise which leaves a few days after my one year extension expires. I've read something about being able to get a stamp in my Passport to extend it until my I-751 is completed.

Where can I get this stamp and what documentation do I need to provide to get it?
