I-129F Approval Notice in 6 Weeks from CSC

Hi everyone,

New to this thread, but have been observing for a while. Received great information on applying for a K1 visa for my fiance and my I-129F, received at the CSC on 19 July 2016, was approved in "just" six weeks!

Unfortunately, the letter itself doesn't provide much information with what to do next. But based on VJ's amazing guide, I assume the application will move to DHS, which in turn will forward to the embassy, and then my fiance will receive information at his home address. In the meantime, I need to prepare the I-134 form (even though it was not mentioned anywhere by the NOA2 yet) because the embassy will request it. Then I send a copy of the package and the I-134 to my fiance so he can have it ready by the time he gets called for an interview.

Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Will I receive any other notifications at this point (from DHS or embassy) or do I need to call to obtain this information?

Thanks!

Please complete your profile so we can see which Embassy your processing through. This will get you better qualified answers as each Embassy is different on how you will proceed after receiving the NOA2.

Profile updated - Brussels embassy will be reviewing my application.

I guess my question is, given the lack of clarity in the NOA2's notice of approval, what are my next steps? Do I complete I-134 and send to fiance while he waits to be contacted by Embassy? Or do we have to reach out to the embassy?

Thanks in advance to everyone taking the time to read and respond to my query!

There isn't a very specific guide for this on VJ because it's very country specific. You'd have to ask someone who has experience of doing the K-1 in Belgium (VJ has a forum for regional discussions, you might find a Belgian thread there).

You can send him the required documents (like i-134, tax returns, letter from employer, divorce decree and such) now, there's no need to wait.

K-1: 12-22-2015 - 09-07-2016 (260 days)

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017 (108 days)

EAD: 01-18-2017 - 05-30-2017 (132 days)

AOS: 12-20-2016 - 07-26-2017 (217 days)

ROC: 04-19-2019 earliest filing date
