Just looking for a bit of clarification, I am compiling my AOS from k-1/k-2. Do I really need a civil surgeon to verify my immunisations that were completed for the k-1 at my medical? There appears to be a fair amount of contradictory information out there! Thanks in advance!!

number 11 on the above guide states as long as you file I-485 within one year of your overseas medical exam and you are not missing vaccinations on your I-693 you don't need a civil surgeon to transcription.

I have seen alot of posts in the past about this tho. We haven't gotten to that step yet, so not sure what we will need to do.

Do you have to fill in and send the I-693 at all if you AOS within 1 year from the K-1 medical? Or is it enough to just send the copy of the vaccination records you get from the K-1 medical?

The key is that you aren't missing any vaccinations. For ex: my husband didn't have the complete vaccinations, so we were told; so for a mere $50 we saw a civil surgeon and got it taken care of.

Thanks for your replies Guys!!! I Appreciate any input in this process, I'm usually quite competent when it comes to forms and paperwork but this whole process makes me question and second guess everything!!!

I think I'm going to send in my DS-3025 and forgo the I-693! I read the guide tips for the AOS from K-1 and it kinda threw me!!!

Good luck on your journeys!!!!!

We just sent in the copy of the DS-3205 and had no problems. We made front and back copies, and he was marked as completed for all his vaccinations, so he didn't have any due (they gave him a booster at his medical), but yes, go ahead and send a copy of the DS-3205.
