We will never know whether an officer will get irritated and become suspicious by the amount of evidence one submits

Agree with you.

I would send the small package as I said but when going for N400 Interview I would keep the other extra evidences in the bag and provide ONLY if he/she asks during the interview.

This way we are covered both the way. Anyway this is how I am planing to do.

I know your feeling.

Its hard to say anything...and I dont want to sound like the prophet of doom either..but think about this: it took UScis (and Im talking about CSC - VSC is getting better) 5 to 6 months to process cases from May to June/16. I'm a mid June/16  filer and havent heard anything as of today. If this pattern continues, God only knows when a late August filer will see some movement.

Plus, the new President just announced an upcoming proposed legislation that, if passed, would severely affect legal immigration (and, therefore, all USCIS proceedings), so again, only the Almighty knows how things will unfold from now on.

Good luck to us all still waiting.

My case had been approved since July 24th. I've received the approval letter in Saturday. Since the biometrics I've never call or checking anything. Good luck to everyone who's still waiting

You will be approved eventually it is just a matter of time. CSC has not even touched July filers, they are probably processing mid to late June filers, so we are in for a very very long wait unfortunately. It is unclear what is causing this unprecedented delay. We will file our 400 early next week. I am going to focus on my 400 because it is very likely that they may combine the two for those of us who file 400 while 751 is pending. Don't lose hope. If I were you, i would apply for 400 ASAP when you are eligible and focus on that. That may prompt USCIS to adjudicate both applications. USCIS updated their manuals for adjudication. It still says the same thing, check it out.

"2. Spouses with Pending Petitions and Naturalization Applications

An application for naturalization may not be approved if there is a pending petition for removal of conditions. If an applicant’s petition to remove conditions is pending at the time of filing or is filed prior to the interview, USCIS will adjudicate the petition to remove conditions prior to or concurrently with the adjudication of the naturalization application. [6] "

Good luck to us all still waiting.

If this rate continues, then USCIS will touch the August filers by next summer which is about a year from today. I think the best strategy is to apply 400 because with their rules, they have to adjudicate both or pull out your long pending 751 approve it and approve 400.  As far as Trump's new proposed legislation, it should not affect us even if it passes and gets signed by 45, we won't be retroactively punished for that, that is just the law, so let's not be freaked out by this new and radical proposal from the White House, and also it requires 60 votes in the senate to pass anyway, and dems are not going to vote for this crazy bill. It is frustrating to wait for 751, but I am hopeful for those of us who will or have applied 400, I have a feeling we just won't even have our 10 year green cards for a long time and we would go straight to citizenship unless you don't want to become a citizen, then you might have to wait for another year...

I went to a InfoPass appointment today. They could not stamp my passport because my extension letter doesn't expire until October and they can only stamp within 30 days of expiration. Keep this in mind so others don't waste time.

2nd, they told me that my case was touched June 28th, but I should expect about 14 months of processing from when I sent in for I751. That sounds about right to me, looking at current processing for CSC.

So they told you someone has been assigned to adjudicate your application? You are an August filer like me, guess that is good news? It will be interesting to see what the next processing times update is. Fingers crossed

NOA 8/10/16 VCS

Green Card Expiration Date 11/3/16

We called USCIS Service Center a couple of weeks ago to see if they recommended going to our local field office in Hartford, CT to get an extension stamp in the passport. The rep suggested to make an appointment prior to 8/10/17. We called again yesterday to confirm what documents were needed for the InfoPass appointment. They stated the Appointment Letter, Green Card, Passport, and NOA Extention Letter. Each time we called they confirmed the case was still at VSC and they didn't see if the was assigned to an officer yet.

We went to the InfoPass appointment today and had a friendly experience up until we had to speak with the local agent. The local agent called us to the window and asked why we were there. We explained that the NOA Extention Letter Receipt Date is 8/10/16 and would like to get a stamp in the passport for an extension. He asked for the Green Card and declined to provide a stamp in the passport since the expiration date of the Green Card is 11/3/16. He said to come back right before it expires to get a stamp. Also, he said to make a copy of the Green Card because they would be taking away the Green Card and that the stamp would take the place of the Green Card. We were accepting of this information and then asked the agent if he could kindly check our case in the system to see if there have been any updates. He declined to provide us information and said it was a waste of time because he already knows no action has taken place because it's taking two years to process these cases. Basically, he didn't want to be bothered or help us in any way today.

So needless to say it has been an unsuccessful day with no legitimate answers or clarification.

Hopefully, this will all end before the Green Card expires.

I think the officer did it on purpose just to annoy you and by creating  uncertainty. VSC has been approving cases left and right, so you are in a good place now, what the officer said to you is in direct contradiction of what is actually happening to VSC applicants, I think you will be approved very soon.

Thanks for the boost! Just blows all our minds the inconsistency of information and the lack of compassion from these employees. Granted there are some good ones... but these are people lives. It's nothing to mess around with or joke about. Wish you all the best as well!

That's for the boost! Just blows all our minds the inconsistency of information and the lack of compassion from these employees. Granted there are some good ones... but these are people lives. It's nothing to mess around with or joke about. Wish you all the best as well!

Some officers are nice, and some are just being difficult. Of all the officers and adjudicators I have come in contact with, most of them are ok. I think you will be ok. For CSC filers, our uncertainty remains which is why we will apply 400 early next week. I think it might be a new norm for CSC filers having to apply 400 so they can get the ball rolling, it may prompt USCIS to combine the two and adjudicate.

If you're travelling or working, I'd go back, try again, and hope for someone else working the counter. The should have given you the I551 stamp but your status doesn't expire. You just don't have proof of work eligibility/travel.

In my case, they did take the GC and extend for only 6 months - I think it was because he was annoyed through no fault of our own. While he was still with the other group, who asked wayyyyy too many questions and wanted advice, he pushed the 'next' button so we were called to his counter. We waited the 5+ minutes until he was finished with them, but by then they had already moved on to other numbers at other counters so we were super awkwardly like "hey......you called our number?"
