How fast is Missouri Service Center?

doodlebug,

Points of clarification: Your I-129f (not I-129) did not get transferred from Chicago to MSC - the Chicago Lockbox is an intergral part of the National Benefits Center (formerly the Missouri Service Center). So the move from Chicago to Missouri was not a transfer, the case file was just sent 'down the hall' (a very long hall) from the sorting room to the processing rooms.

Yodrak

After sending the I129 to Chicago mine got transferred to MSC, stayed there for a few days and then went off to Vermont where it is now pending. It shouldn't be long until yours is transferred as well. MSC is nothing more than a PO station where the forms are sorted out and shipped off.

Is it necessary that the service center of a I-130 petition will be same as it's corresponding I-129F?

I don't know. It'd be cool to research I guess. I just know that mine was sent to vermont where my I-130 is and so were a few others.

Mine is also the same timeline as yours and my case is also not transfered to CSC( where my I130 sits). I just got a mail from Chicago saying that your case is receied and transfered to Missouri Service Center. Havent had any touches since then.

Thank you for the information. From previous threads, I read that once it's transferred to the normal service center, it's only a matter of a short time to get an approval. Is that true?

"short time" is relative I guess. I think VSC is averaging about 2 months or so. They're historically fast though.

Hi, consolemaster

My timeline is similar to you and I am also wondering whether my case will be transfered to CSC (my I-130 is at CSC).

As my timeline shows, it was touched on March 29 and the description of location changed from "Missouri Service Center" to "National Benefits Center."

On March 12, 2007, we received this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our
NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER
location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I want to know from those who had their application processed at the NBC (National Benefits Center) of how long was the time to get an approval on the K-3?

The timeline link doesn't give the scatter plot for the average time need to get the K-3 adjudicated. I am curious.

How do you check "Touch" on your file !!! I am in the same boat but new...

I have no idea what happened. Since the Missouri Service Center is the same as the National Benefit Center. LOL. It's very funny. I thought something special happened to my application.

Hi india

You can see your case status through USCIS's web page if you have your file number.

The file is "touched" when the date of "Last Updated" is updated, but description of current status has not changed.

In our case, the file was touched and the location was changed from "Missouri Service Center" to "National Benefits Center" but these are the different name of the same place. So we are wondering what is going on with respect to our cases. I understand from other people's timeline that our cases are likely to be transferred to either CSC or VSC (probably depending on where we live and where we filed our I-130). It's already about two weeks since I received my NOA1 and should be transferred to CSC if its on a normal procedure.

consolemaster and k-in-osaka

I will try to update my timeline, so please let me know yours.

Hopefully there may be some move early next week.
