Hi All,

Just check government web site for field offices processing times for the I-485.

Boston is on September 2015

Dallas is on June 2015

LA, Miami, and Atlanta is on November 2015

Phoenix is on December 2015

Cleveland (Me) says "4 months", 2 down and 2 to go maybe

Only checked a few big cities and just wondering how true this is, has anybody got their I-485 completed faster then the government web site says?

If like me, I know your patience is in short supply!

10/24/13 - Met online 04/30/16 - Sent AOS Forms I-864, I-485, I-765, I-131, G-325a, G-1145 with check

01/16/14 - Fell in love online 05/07/16 - Received text & email with case#

05/03/14 - Met for first time - He went to England 05/09/16 - Check cashed for $1,070.00

08/07/14 - She came to USA 1st time 05/13/16 - Received NOA1 for I-485, I-131, I-765

12/28/14 - She came to USA 2nd time 06/03/16 - Biometrics Appointment

02/10/15 - Officially engaged at the Grand Canyon 08/01/16 - Email & Text saying I-131 & I-765 Approved

10/14/16 - Received RFE for proof of marriage

K1 VISA Timeline 10/15/16 - Sent in RFE paperwork

09/23/15 - Sent info to Rapid Visa 10/19/16 - Received text - AOS APPROVED!!!!

10/13/15 - Conformation from USCIS - NOA1 10/22/16 - Received hard copy of I-485 approval

11/06/15 - I-129F Approved! via USCIS Website! 10/22/16 - Received text - Your 2 year Greed card has mailed

11/13/15 - Received hard copy in mail - NOA2 10/25/16 - Received Green Card in the mail! - Yahoooo!

11/23/15 - Received by NVC (called on 24th)

11/24/15 - Called NVC and got LND#

11/30/15 - Case status at NVC: READY!

01/12/16 - Medical completed!

01/23/16 - Packet 4 received

01/27/16 - Interview - APPROVED!

02/05/16 - Visa In Hand

02/11/16 - POE - Ohio

Hi there

usually they just say they try to process these papers in 6 months. sometimes it takes longer, sometimes it takes less.
You may also check it here with real people's experience, not with this "average" data

on the bottom of the table choose the office you filed with and then click on the down arrow of the interview column.

and here you will see the progress, when the interview was and when people actually applied. it's really cool for big offices cause you'll see a lot of recent cases
for example with my field office in mount laurel there are not that many cases this year (only three including mine). and the time differs from 2,5 months to something like 5 months. But at least you may track the progress people who applied within the same timeframe as you

AOS EAD

5/5/2016 - sent docs to Chicago, AGAIN (i-485, i-130, i-765, i-864) [Day 0] 5/16/2016 - NOA [Day 11]

5/6/2016 - delivered and signed up for by R Mercado [Day 1] 7/20/2016 - called to submit a service request for my EAD. [Day 76]
5/12/2016 - checks cashed [Day 7] 7/28/2016 - case numbers for i-130 and i-765 started working to say case was received on May 6 [Day 84]

5/16/2016 - got 3 NOAs in the mail, dated May 12, priority date is 7/29/2016 - case status of I-765 is "New Card Is Being Produced", later in the evening - "Case Was Approved" [Day 85]

May 6 (haven't received any emails or texts) [Day 11] 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

6/10/2016 - got biometrics letter in the mail, notice date is June 4, 2016, which 8/1/2016 - received answer for the service request "your case is under review" [Day 89]

is day 30 from when they picked up the package [Day 36] 8/2/2016 - case status of I-765 is "The Card was Mailed to you" [Day 90]

6/21/2016 - Biometrics walk-in in Philadelphia [Day 47] 8/4/2016 - received I-797 Notice of Action for approved I-765 [Day 92]

6/22/2016 - Scheduled Biometrics Appointment [Day 48] 8/5/2016 - EAD in mail [Day 93]

6/30/2016 - online case status started working "case is ready to be scheduled

for the interview" [Day 56]

The timelines online mean nothing unless you know where your case is. Case can get processed centrally or at pretty much any local office...

My case - I think it never left NBC, but I am not sure - was processed in less than 3 months despite my local office (Newark) being massively backed up.

My husband is waiting 1 year and online status still says "we received fingerprint fee on..." Very frustrating, especially that I called and e-mailed whomever I could and still no answer.

Sorry to hear that. Thinking the country has something to do with that!

Its a shame because I find that 99.99% of the people in the world are the same and just want to live their lives together and governments sometimes make it hard!

No different to other government bodies both here and in foreign countries too. It's just the way they all work. Complain all you want but it's better to be patient.

I'm sure they would get criticised if they completed all tasks and handed out GC in 3 months with people complaining it's too fast! How can relevant security searches be done so quickly. They can't win.

unfortunately, the field office processing times are irrelevant for those of us who got the golden ticket - interview waiver - and are stuck at the NBC forever. 13 months for us so far. :(

Mine has been sent from NBC to the Dallas field office - we live in North Carolina so Charlotte would be our local office :unsure:

It really depends. Feels like a lottery game.

Some people got lucky and got their GC right away without any interview in the field office (~2 months process). Others are waiting for months… And in between, a rainbow of situations.

Talked to an IO at my field office Santa Ana. Told me that they are indeed processing AOS of last September (September 2015!!!!). So, if you are not of those lucky like me, focus on getting you EAD/AP first to be able to work and travel. Do not forget to file for the renewal when approaching the expiry date of EAD/AP (120 days prior) and keep an eye on the progress of AOS application.

04/15/2016 - AOS, EAD, AP packet sent off

04/20/2016 - Packet delivered to Chicago lock box

04/26/2016 - Text messages case received with receipt # [Day 5 since received date]

05/04/2016 - 3 NOA hard copies received [Day 13]

05/14/2016 - Biometrics Appointment letter received (appointment for 05/24/2016) [Day 23]

05/16/2016 - Early walk-in biometrics taken [Day 25]

05/23/2016 - Case status for AOS start working - RFIE on its way [Day 32]

Same with us. It took 77 days, but according to VJ the average time is 214 days for GC, another website shows they're doing cases from Nov 2015.

After K-1, I just stopped believing in those time lines lol.
