Not sure what you are trying to say, but let me revise what I said in the hopes I wasn't clear.

The store owner was most likely inside, waiting on customers at the time Alton allegedly waved his gun at the homeless man. May have seen nothing of that part of the event. He probably started paying attention when the police arrived. Am I speculating? Of course. I wasn't there. But having been in situations where the cops were called to the location where I was a bystander, I had no clue that something was amiss until the cops showed up.
