Average wait time - interview to visa London k1

Hello!

I was just wondering how long it is taking for people to receive their passport and visa after a successful interview at the London embassy for a K1 Visa.

I have my interview on June 22nd and am hoping to fly out on July 8th. Is that enough time to get my passport back? I selected the courier service directly to my house, rather than the pick up location!

Thanks,

Kelly

My hubby then fiancé had his interview in London a couple years ago and got his passport back pretty quickly. He was sure to tell the officer what day he intended on leaving to go to the US.

Kelly,

Here is a link to a list within the UK Forums that has data for all recent interview attendees that states how many days they waited from interview until they got their visa in hand. It also defines if they did Depot or Delivery to home!

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/550974-interview-date-to-visa-in-hand-how-long-2015-data/page-8

Hope this helps!

Edited to fix Depot instead of Courier or Delivery... that's the same thing >.> Oops!

Exactly the dates they told me. 5 working days for processing and 2 more for delivery. Interview June 7th passport in hand June 16th. No bank holidays coming up so you should be okay for July 7th as long as no AP happens or anything goes wrong.

Mine took 3 working days to arrive and was a cr1. I did tell the lady that I was travelling to USA in a weeks time when she asked, so don't know if that speeded it up. I'd be very surprised if you didn't get your passport back in time.

It averages about 7 days.

Do you know the name of the courier company who collects the visas from the embassy and then delivers them to the home address of the beneficiary?
