Got our NOA 2 soft copy last Sept 2 and got our hard copy last Sept 9. Will 10-15 days waiting time for NVC counted after hard copy or soft notif? :)

10-15 days after soft copy. I got my MNL number 15 days after soft copy. Then it left for MNL the next day and arrived MNL the day after that. Hope it helps. Look at my dates below. Should help you a bit.

Case status updated to "Ready" ! :dancing: I booked my medical exam today and I'm eagerly expecting for that packet 3 to arrive from the Embassy. Filling out my DS-160 tonight, there's nothing wrong in giving them a slight nudge :P

Here's the check list from the Irish embassy if thats any help to you. You must have the medical results in your hand before you can book your interview. So If any Irish people are reading this book your medical quickly because there is about a 3 week wait and you have another 4 week wait for interview afterwards. This way of doing things is crazy.

Checklist.

Thanks u so much Stephen!!

To prevent unnecessary delays during your interview, please arrange your documents in the following order:

  • Valid Passport

  • Sealed Medical exam.

  • 2 color passport-size pictures (5 cm X 5 cm or 2 inch X 2 inch).

  • Confirmation page of the electronic form DS-160.

  • Birth Certificate, English translation and a photocopy.

  • Marriage Certificate, English translation and a photocopy.

  • Divorce Certificate (If applicable), English translation and a photocopy.

  • Police Certificates from Ireland and other countries of previous residence for more than 6 months.

  • Court / Criminal (If applicable) records and photocopy.

  • Military records (If applicable) and photocopy.

  • Evidence of Support (I-134) and photocopy of IRS transcript or photocopy of the most recent Federal income tax return.

I've always read and heard that you're supposed to come with the passport pix. Maybe one of the basic sentence they write and doesnt apply in most of embassy's. You'll probably figure once you have the check list in hand ;)

I need your help guys, per dhl tracking our file seems at the embassy since noon, nvc still shows in transit but i expect to receive packet 3 this week and send it back. It seems that our embassy can be pretty quick at sending interview date and the thing is that im going for a 2 weeks business trip overseas, do you see any harm emailing the embassy about those "black out dates " ? Im scared to receive interview letter while overseas and not be able to acknowledge ;( what do u think ?

This means that he needs to upload into his DS-160 the exact same photo that he will bring to the interview. He needs to bring I think two photos of specific form (5cmx5cm white background, but mosto photo places know what the pictures need to look like when you tell them it's for American visa) with all the other documents to the actual interview. This is the picture that will be on his visa and on his file, I believe it can't be older than 6 months. That photo he needs to scan and upload to his DS-160.

JJ and JJ - I suggest waiting for that packet 3 and if it arrives right around the time of your business trip, wait until you come home to send it back. If you are sure they will schedule your interview in that short time frame. As for the In Transit message, I assume it will only update tomorrow. My package arrived on Friday and only updated the status on CEAC today.

My case finally left the NVC! :) :)

I do have a question though. When I check the CEAC website, it says that my case is in transit, but it also says that the NVC has assigned me an interview date. Is this just a generic message, or..?

You still need to upload the picture. Same picture that he will take to the embassy. You can also ask for the application # of the ds-160 & security answer for you to see and check. I was the one who filled up the ds-160 of my fiance. But he was the one summitted it so he will have the confirmation page to be print out.

I think thats generic since it shows the same thing in ours. But we ignore it & scheduled our interview, this is for Philippines. It's different in every embassy. Goodluck
