RFE Question

I received a RFE on April 7th, it was to sen two passport size pictures .. one of me and the other of my fiance. I send everything back on May 5th and I haven't gotten anything yet. Not even a request stating they have received my pictures, is this normal? Do they sometimes don't let you know if they received the RFE you've send? Has anyone experienced this? I'm a bit nervous, it's been almost two months since the RFE. Thanks!

But only one month since you sent in the RFE response. It seems from posts I am reading here and on other sites RFE responses are taking awhile longer to process.

You can track your petition here:

I've been checking everyday and nothing, what worries me the most is the fact that on the USCIS page, they haven't updated staying if they've received the pictures. So I don't know if they sometimes do that

The average from the data I collected is between 2 to 3 weeks for an NOA 2 once an RFE was received. You are not able to put in an inquiry request until 60 days have passed. Technically it hasn't been 60 days since your response, but it has almost been 60 days since your RFE was mailed. Once it reaches 63 or so days since your RFE was received I would try and give them a call to see if they will allow you to put in an inquiry even though your RFE was sent in a month later.

Usually people have received confirmation that their RFE was received once it was sent back. Did you happen to send in a G-1145? It seems like you did make an account on the USCIS website, they would usually show a touch or that the RFE was received there from the data I collected as well.

Hmmmm, they should update to RFE received. Like someone else asked,..did you remember to also send back the letter/front page as you were supposed to, or did you just send the pics?

I did send the passport size pictures, but my fiance's passport picture was smaller so that's why I got a RFE for that. I went to a lawyer to do the k-1 visa process, so I don't have a tracking number. He send everything, the pictures with the paper that said to send back. I'm worried because the due date is June 30th, so I don't know what to do or who to contact. I've called the USCIS and all they have tell me is to wait 60 days.

Your lawyer should be on top of things and taking care of this. Perhaps ask that your lawyer contact the USCIS to be sure they received the RFE response. Ask the lawyer if they mailed it with tracking, the RFE letter, etc.
