I am sorry that everyone is giving you bad news. Unfortunately, they are correct. This is a process that feels so unfair, but most of us get through it eventually. Of course, along the way, we have pulled our hair(s) out, shaken our fist at the heavens, and probably dropped a curse word or two!

From the time you filed your I-130, you are looking at about a year to get through, at a minimum. I'm sorry that Ghana is such a tough country, but it really is.

The most important thing for you is to keep the faith in what you believe, and in your love for your spouse.

Most of us know exactly what you are going through. Keep reading VisaJourney so you will know a little more about what to expect...and when...

Hello all,

I'm a bit confused of this whole process.... I have been here often reading but still don't understand things?

For starters, I have filied an i130 and i129f( k3 visa route), received noa1 for both but I'm hearing they're not really processing them ..so my question becomes, do I just cancel the k3 visa n just go with the i130 process? Can I do that? Or do I continue on as I am now? My husband and I are already married but we have made plans to re officiate on August 26 2016 here in the states. .they way the process is looking. I don't he will be here in time for it and I already have my dress. Spent money on invitations and stamps and put a deposit down on a venue, along with a few small things. What should we do???

You've made a lot of plans with assumptions. Nobody can precisely tell you how long this process takes. Any time frame anyone gives you is based on someone's journey with immigration. Wait till you have your husband here before you make big plans. I say wait till he's here because I seen people send back upon arrival at airport too. Good luck and be patient.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the support here..I truly appreciate it!! Now as far as our paperwork's goes, everything is straight forward( no prior marriage's no children no criminal records ects), we also prepared it very professional, with plenty of boni fide proof..thus far we have not been rfe (hopefully we still won't)But I'm seeing that people who are, their case seems to move a little bit faster. Also we did receive our noa1 pretty fast but again I'm getting a better Understanding of the process.. We are also assigned to Potomac Service Center Looks to be both a plus and a minus lol...I hear what you all are saying but it very well could change pretty fast for us all,,,

My next question would be, our we allowed to visit while we do this process?

Yes you can visit as often as you can, but as far as him getting a visitor visa that's a no!

Sorry guy I am just new here and the forum is new to me

Everyone is new at some point.  As stated, repeatedly, reporting isnt a negative to you.  Reporting a thread hijack allows mods to separate your post into its own thread so you can get help with your own issues. :)
