Heyy Guys,

I recently received my appointment letter via email , got my medical examination done and gather all/most of the required documents for the interview which is in a few days. I had some burning question i wanted answered. Im 17 years old, 18 in only 3 month. I signed the affidavit of Support (Form i-864W), I checked the option which states.(I am under 18, unmarried, immigrating as the child of a US Citizen and will automatically become a US citizen). Does this mean i have to travel to the US before my 18th Birthday ?

Also wanted to ask about the documents i will need for the interview. I currently have :

Birth Certifcate

Passport

Visa Courier Confirmation

Immigrant Visa Application Letter Confirmation

Appointment Letter

Medical Report

Colored Photographs

All other documents (such as a police certificate(which is still valid), Proof of Relationship etc.) were sent to the NVC. If the list looks insufficient , your input would be much appreciated.

One more thing, Anyone has any idea of the type of questions ill be asked at the interview ?

(My Father is the petitioner BTW)

Thank you guys for your time. I await your responses.

You need to take a copy of the police report and proof of relationships when you attend the interview

They will just ask you questions about your father like where does he live in the states a little bit about his job how do yous communicate. When was the last time you saw him in person. As long as all of your documents are in order you will be fine.one last thing make sure that you have his tax paperwork for 2015 and relax on interview day good luck on your journey

It can take as little as 6 months, mine too a bit longer because i had to send missing documents twice. Just make sure you send all the required documents in one go and i assure you it will come through in no time.

Hi again from what country are you immigrating from my stepdaughter from the Philippines

Hi Teddy. Have you received the NOA2 yet? If yes, how long did it take from when you received NOA1? My daughter is also in the Philippines and mu husband is petitioning her (she was under 18 when we got married) coz it's a faster route than if I (LPR) do it myself.

Thanks! I'm just anxious coz I have no clue what/when to expect. It's a relief to know someone who is actually going thru the same exact thing right now. Praying our kids will be here with us soon!??
