Seniors, I filed for I - 130 for my spouse two weeks ago but I got laid off from my job. I started working in May 2014 and until now that means two years working, but USCIS website says three year tax return required. I made around $50k in 2014 and $75k for 2015.

Now, I have around $30k in my account, if I go back to India, until I find another job here. How can I still process my wife visa without 3rd year tax return :(

Use a joint sponsor. The joint sponsor's income has to be over 125% of the FPL for their household +1 (the intending immigrant). The joint sponsor has to be USC or LPR.

you're far than good. You need current year that's 2015 tax transcript that is current unless your petitions prolongs to 2017 then you will need 2016 tax transcript. Don't beat yourself ahead. One step at a time. Follow all instructions.

It's mostly current tax transcript or 3 years. I believe the 3 years is for them to follow past income history in case the petitioner's income is low around the time of processing the petition.

Current income proof is required as well. As the petitioner is unemployed at the moment, using a joint sponsor would be best.

I don't have a co-sponsor. What else can I do? Thanks in advance.

Current income is what counts. Past income is to show reliability of you being able to earn an income.

Without a current income and no Joint Sponsor, then the US Embassy can not legally issue a visa to your wife. You can either get a new job or find a Joint Sponsor. You need one of the two to get your wife a visa.

Not really, the OP isnt employed. Unless they have assets covering their household size, they need a joint sponsor.

Seniors I found another contract job which is 3 month long. Do I have to be employed in order for my wife to get visa or can I search for another job and be jobless for a month or so?

You need to be employed unless you have the assets to cover or are self employed (like a freelance journalist etc..) Any time anything on the I-864 changes, you need to update it until the visa is granted.
