Hello all, I was just wanting some input on a couple things. Just some background real quick, I filed an I-130 petition for spouse back in January. I tried to expedite my petition due to the fact that my husband is currently residing in Yemen where there is an ongoing war. I provided evidence, and in the response letter, USCIS just stated that my case was next in line to be reviewed by an officer. I'm hoping it will get approved soon. I had a few questions, any input would be greatly appreciated.

1. About how long does it take for NVC to process approved petitions?

2. How long before the approved petition goes from NVC to designated Embassy.

I'm assuming for Yemen it may take longer since there are 2 designated posts (Egypt and Algeria) since the Embassy in Yemen has been shut down. I'm just looking for a timeframe to follow. Also, for Yemeni petitioners out there that read this, where has your case gone? And how long has it taken to process?

Thanks!

takes about a month after approval for case to get to NVC and get case# than paying fees once you send your documents its 30 to 45 days to case complete.

Waiting for interview Egypt is 4 to 5 months. Algeria is about 2 months wait.

Also once at NVC you can request expedite who knows you may get it approved.

Hi dhwheels76, thanks for the information. Just a little update, petition was approved on 6/9/16 and sent to NVC. I'm just waiting for a confirmation from them that it has been received and go from there. I was recently reviewing the US Embassy Yemen's website, and it stated that all IV interviews are now being forwarded to Djibouti. Would you happen to know the wait time for interviews there? Thanks for any help in advance :)
