Same sex couple and I hope they don't put us on the back burner.

Tried getting congressional help but it got denied.

I'm a chemotherapy patient just wanted to be as happy till the day comes.

Thank you for replying......it really helped me.

Could you call USCIS and ask to be expedited due to health issues? I would hope going through something as difficult as chemo would count towards getting expedited.

Long story short....hired immigration lawyer, told me he filed April 12,...I checked "nada". Finally figured it out thru the many wonderful people here.

True date is what I posted.

USCIS I figured does denials on expedited request on some.

It's been a roller coaster ride and money I could have saved but I can't back out now because I invested in my lawyer.

I just want the happiness and the love to be reality in a NOA2 arrival.

I'm gonna wait like all of us here....All of OUR journeys have beautiful stories and that is more then anything to read.

You beautiful people are truly genuine and this has helped tremendously.

Thank you.

Good luck to all those recently approved, and to all those still waiting we hope you hear something very soon!

We are also May 31 NOA1 and waiting for NOA2. As much as i check each day, i guess the wait becomes worth it in the end. It seems NVC has sped up a little so once the NOA2 is granted it should be much easier.

i do also appreciate that the timeframe is 5 months for NOA1 - NOA2 so if we get it before then i guess its good news..

Check out the thread titled "Yes, you can visit" in the main K-1 subforum (I'm on mobile or I'd link it for you). First thread. Should answer your questions.

Hello Everyone,

I don't know if any of you might of gone through the same situation, but I need advice and if anybody can help me I'll greatly appreciated. My case hasn't been approved yet, however, I'll be moving back to CT in a week, I already have the new address where I'll be living, should I wait until I actually move or should I change it before hand? Will this delay the process in any way? Any answer regarding this question will be greatly appreciated.

Have a good day everyone!

Hello Everyone,

Our NOA2 was done 7/28 and now we're getting ready for the next steps. I had a few questions about the process from here forward.

1) I'm planning on taking two weeks vacation to go to Manila for the interview. Any chance that I can do that and we can both return to the USA together?

2) My fiancee works in Saudi Arabia and formerly worked in Libya. I've heard that you don't have to get police clearance from these countries but can't find the list. Either way, it will be very difficult to get these police clearances. Does anyone have experience with this?

3) On a different thread I read that the medical is really for AOS and not totally necessary for the K1 part prior to embassy interview. Is that true?

Thank you,

Christian and Liz

If you already know your address once you move and it's only a week away, I would say go ahead and do it. I wouldn't think it would deejay your process at all. I'll be moving soon as well.

You still have to do the medical prior to the embassy interview. The only that's not necessarily required to be completed until you apply for green card is your vaccinations.
