Fair enough...just curious as I said...

It isn't a blanket statement but more of an observation followed up by asking fellow filers to comment. We have seen the old applicants process more quickly through their field offices using the old application. We know there are variations in time from applicant to applicant but have not seen any information contrary to this. Further, the USCIS initially published mandatory use of the new application in early May, then moved it to August and has now switched it to October. When you factor few if any IOE are moving with the fact that USCIS has set three different dates for use of the new system, it is alarming. That is why questions about the IOE are asked here becasue that is what forums do--ask each other questions. Yes 5 months is the standard but at my field office, NBC applicants have been running 4 months with inline coming in month 3--that hasnt happened with others.

Yep, a NBC. But also wife and daughter are naturalizing based on 5 years and not marriage based. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

So, I guess they are experiencing some workload issues, maybe because of vacations, so we just have to wait...

There are still few NBC cases still pending since 2015. The comparison is not based on few individual cases, it's based on the majority of cases.

since mid april, hundreds of applicants have used new form (IOE cases) and similarly other hundreds of people have used old form (NBC cases).

If you just check the status of random IOE or NBC cases from mid april to say early May, you might see less than 10 IOE cases (out of several hundreds) have been scheduled for interview while over hundreds of NBC cases are scheduled for interview.

People are checking such through some app that automatically checks hundreds of cases at once after you give the starting case number. It's a pretty hot topic even in other forums like trackitt.

Just based on observation of majority of users even in VJ, it can be pretty much concluded that IOE cases are not moving forward.

Even the fact that USCIS extended the mandatory use of new N400 from August to October (by 2 months) just proves that USCIS offices or service centers are themselves yet not ready to process IOE cases.

We, the IOE users, are just hoping that once they start processing IOE cases, it would move faster.
