So just received official receipt today for aos . Was wondering now how long does it usually take to recieve information for biometrics . And how are you informed is it by mail . Date aos was received was received was April 18 ,2016 thanks

Received letter in the mail with the bio appointment roughly two weeks after receipt. The date of the appointment was a week and half after receiving the letter

i have a similar question related to this thread.

I got my NOA1 receipt on april 4th and still havent got an appointment for biometrics in the mail, I am also leaving for vacation on the 11th of May to a different state (florida). I am worried the appointment date will fall on the days I am away. What can I do?

I read its possible to do an early walkin or even go capture my bio metrics in a different state?

What happens if I miss the appointment? Will I be denied?

In my case, I got the notification in the mail with the appointment for biometrics and at the end of the note it has the option to reschedule your appointment. I received the notification for the biometrics exactly one month after the noa1.

You cannot get the fingerprints taken in any other USCIS office than the one assigned and you cannot just show up there without a receipt for the biometrics or an info pass appointment.

If you miss your appointment and do not reschedule before they might take it like you dismissed your application

Thanks I actually received the biometrics in mail 2 days after the hard copy of noa1 . Biometrics scheduled for next week and I guess it's just a waiting game after that
