Hello,

I am currently in the country where my fiance resides and plan to return to the U.S at the end of the summer and submit my petition for his visa then. I am waiting to hear back from a few school programs I've applied to, so depending on where I get accepted is where I'm going to look for permanent residence.

On the I-129F form, question 28 asks for address at which your fiance intends to live. This is very likely to change as we will probably look for a new place once my fiance arrives. My plan is to save some money before he arrives by getting a smaller, cheaper place. Also as he's Iranian, I suspect the process may take longer as he will be under additional scrutiny, so I may be living on my own longer than expected.

Will it be a problem that the intended address will not likely be the actual address at which my fiance and I reside? I'm hoping I can just put my address now and then later have the opportunity to update that address.

Also, I have a family member who lives fairly close to the school where I am 95% sure I will be attending. Can I apply earlier using their address and then change the permanent address later? Would changing the mailing address delay the process much? Provided I'm in the same area, would it even be necessary to change it?

I know I should probably just wait the extra month or two and apply with my own address, but I'm sure you all know that one or two months of additional separation is like a prison sentence :)

Thanks.
