Hi everyone I hope you are all doing well. I just want some opinions again about my K1 case. Heres some information to start with:

I am a 28 and my fiance is 64. Weve been together for 3 years and 7 mos. He visited me 3 times.

I am now in the interview stage hopefully this last week of April.

My fiance is living in an apartment for almost 3 years now.Thats where he physically lives. His mailing address is his ex wifes address. Thats where all his documents are addressed and he gets mail. Way back when we did the I-129f form we wrote on the part where is says: Your fiancee intends to live- we wrote the mailing address which is his ex wifes physical address. Also on the biographic form we also did not write my fiance's physical address. We wrote the mailing address instead.

My questions are:

I want to create another DS-160 form to correct the address where I intend to live. First am I allowed to create a new DS-160?

If I changed the address where I intend to live in the DS-160 form would that be a questionable thing? ( I wrote in the DS-160 form the mailing address instead of his physical address) :(

Do I also need to bring another biographic form? with the correct address of my fiance?

Thank you so much... answers are highly appreciated.

I'm really no expert here but when you go to the embassy you can probably tell them any updated info like where to send paperwork to you, etc. I know my fiance has a weird address and I think she can tell them the specifics or even get the visa to be picked up at a 2go place or wherever instead of delivered. Also, I imagine you can just tell them your fiance address if it has changed when you get there. Maybe someone more informed can give you better advice.

That is odd that he still uses the xwife's address. He got his place and why on earth not change his mailing address. Very common that people move and change address.

Can you imagine the CO's reaction when you tell him that the address is the x address and you intend to leave there?

You will be in for a quite an interview dear.

Use his current address as where you intents to leave, now for the mailing addres you should have talked about it. Speak up, ask questions, clarify, say what's on your mind.. if you know the reason and if logical to you i.e. He is always on the road and no one will check the mail- maybe..

If asked about the mailing address during the interview, state the logical reason..

Yes, you can make another Ds 160, use the physical address of your fiancé and bring that to the interview.

Thank you... for couple of years he is using his ex wifes address as his mailing address only. He dont trust his apartment as his address to get important mails. Like when we did the I129F we put the ex wifes address as mailing address. And we got the USCIS and DHS mails there in his ex wifes address but my fiance never lived there. They are in good terms now but just as a parent to their youngest son who has a disorder and the son lives with his mom.

I will create another DS160 with the correct intend to live address... but what do you think about the difference in the I129f?

To clarify ma'am... my fiance is living in a different house( apartment ) but he uses his ex wifes address as his mailing address only. Thank you so much ma'am.

I understand that your fiancé cannot comfortably receive mail at his physical address. My husband is in a similar situation that the mail box is not private and he doesn't trust the roommates. But using his ex-wife's address? That's not even necessary. He can get a PO box for very little money. Did you/would you send a valentines card for your fiancé to his ex-wife's address?

I think that's going to be a tough one to explain. Especially when PO boxes are so easy to get.

Good luck! You have a couple of difficult issues here.

Thank you JFH... first I dont feel anything about him using his ex wifes address as his mailing address. It has been his mailing address for couple of years now. And I never had any instinct or doubt about my fiance, they were divorced since 1992 and that was a terrible divorced for him. They are now in good terms; they talk once in a while and visit his ex wife once in awhile and to see his son who is 29 yo and has mental disorder.

Theyre not even friends in facebook. In terms of sending presents... I have always use his mailing address and there were no issues. One time his ex wife signed the packaged I sent. I really have no problem about that and their relationship in the past.

In terms of P.O box I never thought of it.

There's nothing you can do on the 1-129F; If ask about it during the interview then explain. If not, good for you. Use the right address from here on.

You don't have to explain about that; if you accepted the arrangements on the mailing adress that's up to you. Be ready with your story incase asked during the interview. Goodluck!

Hmm, ok I kinda of understand your reasoning and it's GREAT you trust your fiance to use his ex-wifes address. However, I believe CO at interview is not going to accept his reasoning for using his ex-wifes address, especially since you and your fiancee have a huge age gap.

It's always better to steer away from presenting any additional "Red Flags" when you have a huge age differance. I would try to remedy by not mentioning this at interview, just simply tell them you need them to correct the address where you intend to live in the USA. Good Luck!

Keep it simple. Use his current address. If they ask, which I seriously doubt they'll do, say the I-129f is his mailing address. When I sent in the I-129f, I put one address down, and by the time the petition was approved, I was living somewhere else, so the DS-160 had a different address. My now-wife wasn't asked anything about the different addresses. The only way the CO would be a little concerned is if s/he asked you where your fiance lived, and you didn't know, or gave an answer that wasn't close to being accurate (you say PA when he's really in NY or something like that).
