Hey guys, is there any reason that on the k1 visa guide we are all told to send our I-129 packages to the Dallas Lockbox and not one of the other ones? Is it because they have a faster processing time? I live in Oregon so my I-129 will eventually be sent to California I believe and the lockbox in Phoenix is closer. Does it make a difference?

I live in Florida and my package was transferred to California from Texas. Looks like California is ahead in processing time than Texas so it's better if your package gets transferred there IMO.

Welcome to the forum.

Follow the USCIS mailing instructions, to do otherwise is to likely cause self-inflicted delay and potentially other filing issues.

BTW: Make sure that you are filing the correct form. Your title indicates I-129.

Form I-129 = Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker Visa

Form I-129F = Petition for K1 Fiance(e) Visa

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Where do the 129f form instructions say to mail the petition to? Texas......no other is listed.

For where to mail the petition, when in doubt FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS for the I-129F

https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

File Form I-129F at the USCIS Dallas Lockbox facility:

For U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

USCIS

P.O. Box 660151

Dallas, TX 75266

For USPS Express Mail and courier deliveries:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South State Highway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX 75067

• We recommend reading our Lockbox Filing Tips before filing your petition.

• We will send you an email or text when the Dallas Lockbox facility accepts your Form I-129F if you clip a completed Form G-1145, Notification of Acceptance of Application/Petition to the front of your petition.

I am guessing we send our packages to a central location so they can manage their resources more effectively -- forward applications to certain centers based on the availability of adjudicators, and volume of the different types of applications

Went through K-1 (I-129F) AOS (I-485) EAD (I-765) AP (I-131) processes. Thanks to the Visa Journey community for their help and support!
