I received my 2 year green card in early 5/2014. NOA1 from CSC is 4/11/2016. If I still don't hear anything in the future, can I apply for citizenship this coming February? And how does that work? I'm trying to calm myself down cause the wait is really getting on my nerves. Thanks :)

Thanks you guys. I just tried to request the thing that I'm out side processing times. I'm 6 months and 2 weeks. The page told me that the recite number is not associated with the form I choosed. I hope it's an error.

Morning April Filers!

Will be 7 months wait for me in 4 days.

I tried to submit online a case inquiry for my removal of conditions. I filed on 04/04/2016. Which is outside of the six months processing times they promote online.

After filling out all the info fields the tool bluntly advises that my case is not outside of the processing times and I cannot submit an inquiry. Does this mean I can't submit a request for an update until I am outside of the year my NOA covers? Makes no sense. At the very least they should update their processing time to reflect the current processing time.

Anyone else experience the same thing?

The wait continues I guess.

Nvm i had to use the other WAC number to get inqury. They told me same thing that it is in normal processing time. I read is 6 month PLUS 105 days so means that you must wait at least 9 months to send inqury I assume. Am I right?

I'm getting nervous though. I will need to move soon and I cant. I just don't want to mess with addresses now while in process. Ehh I wanna see family so bad.

Hi All,

I recieved RFE from USCIS. It says that my fingerprints got rejected twice so they want me to submit police clearance certificate of each district I lived in US in past 5years.

My fingerprints went well when I gave it 2nd time. I also confirmed it with the lady who took it by asking her 2 times. I am little confused how shall I proceed? Shall I just go ahead and get RFE or contact USCIS to verify it? Any idea why I received RFE for this so late? I had my 2nd biometrics appointment on May 26th. Any kinda help/guidance from anyone is really appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

Ami - do not waste time contacting USCIS. It is best that you submit a request for police clearance. I have seen this in the past with my clients. It's not a big deal and definitely not worth being alarmed about. I would recommend mailing out the clearances with the top sheet of the RFE ASAP.

I tried the same thing this morning (before I saw your post). My NOA date is 4/28. Got the same message "case not outside the processing times".

From the past few pages it seems like the VSC has not progressed on any of the April applications.

I do have a quick question: To travel outside the country, are the green card and the letter that states the 1 year extension the only documents needed (of course in addition to the passport of citizenship)? Thank you for the clarification.

For those that have traveled in such a manner, any issues re-entering the country? Thanks!
